When I was uploading pics on my other computer, I never got any grief about the limit on width for a file.
Now, I can't upload a picture beyond 800 pixels.

Is there a reason for this? Or a way to bypass it?

Click 'more options'
And then choose from there (I choose 1MB file size)

gah, something is still wrong...

"Your images may only be up to 640 pixels high.
Your images may only be up to 800 pixels wide."

This is the message i get. I'm trying to UL a pic from a 22" widescreen monitor (not that i think that should be an issue, as probably many of you do the same). I changed the option like you said too.

how I would normally do this

source (press print screen? or load the picture then press print screen...)
open paint
paste
resize using the bottom right as a guide (then resize the canvas)
save as files that work here
upload.

that way the picture would be the exact size your after already, that said I had this problem before aswell, I think its something to do with filetype aswell. I think I just converted to png/jpg and it eventually worked.
