It doesn't really work well with human psyche, though. I live in a neighbourhood where all the streets have Indonesian island names. I do know where the Bali street is, and the Atjeh street. Those names ring a bell from history lessons. The more obscure islands... well, I live here for 14 years now and I still have trouble remembering the name of the street below my balcony (mumbojumbostreet, I call it). It just doesn't connect to anything else in my brain, so I forget.
