Its much more awesome to find these things out in character, you might even find someone who has a bunch they're willing to sell too.

not if the character isnt created yet. I'm thinking of creating an enchanter, and im wondering if one of the stock supplies for an enchanter is available by some method other than killing stuff. If not, i probably wont do it, i dont want to spend hours killing things to build up a supply of scrolls to enchant and sell

as far as I know they are droped because no NPC sells them.

Yup, no known source other than random drops on monsters. At least no source I know of.

Yup. Just loot drops. Check merchants too. People sell them constantly.

darn, oh well. i'll probably still make a char focused on enchantment anyways, but that stinks

Blank Scrolls (and Wands) are deceptively lucrative loot because most players think they are only worth 1-2gp to an NPC and therefore nothing but junk. Those in the know, however, can tell you that because they are a relatively rare resource they can sell for 5-10k a piece if you find the right PC.
In other words, if you want to create a character that manufactures Scrolls and Wands you need to a) kill critters to find Scrolls/Wands and b) kill critters to earn the money to buy Scrolls/Wands.

Also, most UMD lovers carry their own blank wands and scrolls, in my experience, for when they need to request something. Either way, Enchant wand and Scribe scroll are awesome investments.

Brew potion is good too, people will pay a lot for those true strike and haste potions.
