Disco, are there going to be coppies of some jobs in the UD, as it would make no -IC- Sense for instance everytime a drow or a duergar wishes to forge a weapon he would go to Khol. Also what about adding a preacher down below?

Not to mention it would be against the rules to infiltrate a city you were restricted from, unless a DM was on. >.>
(But he already said there would be copies, didn't he?)

Woo!
*Calls forth a crowd of Martian Fighting machines to chant Ulla! for Disco's triumphant near completion of the Job system*
Though I cannot say to be a complete expert, when this goes live if people want help or need questions answered about the system, but don't want to bug Disco or one of the DM's, feel free to throw questions my way and I'll try my best to answer em'. (senses he's gonna need Tylenol for this but okay)

All right. So mechanically the two jobs are exactly the same except that you've coded it so the Performer to sing for his coin but the beggar can just sit there, right?
If this is so, then those without formal (Bard) training can just take Beggar and RP the singing ("I know my singing is horrible, but pleeeease give me some money!"). It's the RP that determines how much gold they'll get. Look at it as a guild or licencing thing - only those with credentials get to call themselves Performers. The rest are just hacks.

It could be kept simple*, the bodyguard can just interact with the VIP/merchant. Do a standard roll d100 and see how we do.
If our bodyguard fails, spawn an assassin with an xbow 5 seconds later and have her kill the merchant.
If our bodyguard wins the roll, he would be able to prevent the assassination by taking the hit for our merchant or shoving the merchant away just in time.
If our bodyguard gets the bonus, he'd save the merchant and be able to capture/kill the assassin as well. Gets a little XP.
*Edit/addendum: simple in that it only has 1 interaction. It could even fade to black after meeting with the VIP and just narrate how the bodyguard does depending on his/her roll.
Really would love to have my mercenary be both a hired killer and a bodyguard.

Yes, but some jobs will only work in the new UD in B, basically because the one on A is so limited that you can't use any of the hunting type stuff there and stay below the surface.
I will add preacher to the Temple. I guess the other jobs will be done on rfequest, doesn't make sense to place stuff just for the sake of completeness.

That would make sense, but 'Beggar' has a bit of a stigma, hasn't it? So, I simply made a copy of it and called it Performer.

Is there anything outside your own personal job log that distinguishes a Beggar from a Performer? Is the bowl labelled "Beggar's bowl" for one and "Performer's bowl" for the other? Or does is there a system comment like "George begs" or "Ellen sings" associated with the xp generation? If not, then again, aspiring performers without Bard levels can take Beggar.
Just trying to clarify what the difference is from the POV of the PCs or someone participating or watching.

Not anymore. The point is rather moot, though. I already added Gambler and Performer.

Looking at them it'll be most interesting to see the results of how it all works out when the System goes into play.

For bodyguard, just use man-at-arms. It's a similar idea and I know of several characters that act as bodyguards for others that simply plan to take the Man-at-arm job.
EDIT: And that one's already figured out so Disco doesn't have to make up a whole new job now.

If weaponsmith is already getting put on B then disregard this, but if not... then please please please put it somewhere as I'd really like to have that job for Bree'nye.

There will be a rather sizeable mining community in UD-B. It will be run by Smurphs and Duergar (obviously, I'd say) but I assume Drow won't be loath (Lloth?) to visit an UD mine to get the job? herkles wrote: on another subject, is the UD area on B finished and in the module yet?
I guess it's about 80% done by now. Area count is at about 35 hunting areas now (CR3-16), and 10 areas for business/rp/whatever. ETA is a bit dependend on the amount of bugs I still find in teh job system, which is unfortunately more than I expected.
