Hello,

Please excuse me if this has been asked before and if so answered somewhere, please direct me there, otherwise, I have the following requests:

Is there something I am missing in terms of finding quests? I understand completely this is not the linear hand-held experience encountered in mainstream MMORPGs, and I appreciate that. At the same time, I do feel very overwhelmed and do not believe this wonderful world was created with the grind in mind as the primary mode of advancement. I am trying to learn the job system but in all honesty I do love the quests where I have to travel lands/meet individuals/discover treasures/overcome difficult adversaries.

There is of course the Orc quest at the beginning, but I seem to not have encountered any other quests... some assistance in either 1) "teaching me to fish" so that I can find my own quests or 2) providing me with a repository of quests available or 3) a combination of the above two would incredibly helpful and very welcome.

Also a shout-out to the DM on call last night (12:00am onwards EST 11/23) (I unfortunately forget the name, I apologize!!) as he/she was very helpful in fixing my Dragon Disciple type after so many years of me not having it set.

Love and warmest regards to the community for staying around so long and remaining supportive.

In-game name --> Exanimous Veraius

Basically, you will find quests by speaking to NPC's. In some cases while completing one quest you'll have the quest giver point you in the direction of another quest. In other cases they are one off quests. There are a fair number of quests but I do not think you'll rid yourself of the grind entirely.

There are in-game log entries that can tell you some of the quests. These are what I know of, some quests in the logs no longer exist (such as the Cult in Cordor). Green is less difficult, redder is harder, not definitively accurate.

Amia A
Courier - Cordor East
Blind Beggar - Cordor Central
Sewer Detail - Cordor Sewers
Goblins - Cordor North
Orc Head - Cordor East
Spiders - West outside Cordor West
Gibberlings - From Cordor North, go west one zone then north.
Troglodites - Lowlands Delta
Coloured Flowers for the Tailors - One in the Frontier,
another in the Lizardmen Mires
Oldmans Flower - Cordor North then to Caraigh
Wargs - Guldorand Captain
Gnomish Golems - Guldorand "KEEP OUT" Building
The Phane - Cordor Central, South Tower, Phane Lair
Flames - Cordor Central, South Tower, Netherese Ruins

Amia B
Wine Gobbos - Fort Wiltun Keep
Iron Fetch - Fort Wiltun Tavern
Dancing Outfit - Khem, Nes'ek (through loads o' coin only)

Bogman Teeth - Fort Wiltun General Store? (Leave for it during Daylight)
Mad Cows - Khem, Nes'ek Lathander Temple then to HasRabbit
Spider Eggs - Khem, Whispering Rift
Bridge Trolls - Caraigh Mill
Skeletal Knuckles - Caraigh Mage Tower
Blackmoors Hounds - Caraigh Asylmn

Insense(???) - Khem, Nes'ek then to the Whipsering Rift Temple
Lentils(Evil) - Khem, Nes'ek then to the Whispering Rift Lower Temple
Hoarites(Non-Good) - Khem, Nes'ek House then to the Anarian Oasis Tent
Snake Charmer(Evil) - Khem, Anarian Oasis Tent
Cobra Antidote - Khem, Seven Sisters via Oasis then to Nes'ek and back again.
(Good?) - Khem, Nes'ek then to ?
Holy Bread - Forrstakkr, Temple of Helm (Start Here For this Region as more will become available, explore!)

Lost Dwarves - Barak Runedar, East Gate Exit

And yes, you will need to grind still, even with these. Whether you want to blitz through the low levels or save the reward turn in for high level xp padding is your call.

That's a good list, it would be great if some DM would post all the active quests still running in the game and where generally to start them!

Not always an option though. Most servers I've played tended to have something in game and in character which would usually point you in the right direction for relevant quests based on your level. Usually a town mayor or city official NPC. Naturally the higher end quests usually remained ICly word of mouth or found by pure chance... in some cases literally as the quest givers spawned at random locations at certain times.

This is very handy for new and returning players, in my opinion.
