Nakasr (NA-kī′zər) was the power who presided over death, the dead, and undeath. He was responsible for keeping records on the final resting place of all the dead, and strove for order in death, anticipating the ever encroaching termination of all things living. As the Judge of the Damned and the Grim Reaper, it was said that only Nakasr knew the final disposition of every spirit and the day of every being's final death, and he was never wrong. The ultimate tyrant, no one unintentionally escaped Nakasr's grasp once they fell under the aegis of his portfolio. He was very jealous of his position, and even those of other faiths who sought to resurrect companions had to placate him or risk his retribution.
Nakasr is the ancient greater deity of death, the unfragmented version of Jergal which held the portfolios that were granted to Bane, Bhaal (which now belong to Cyric), and Myrkul (now incorporated into Kelemvor). A once great and fearsome entity, he has been reduced to a stoic exarch of Kelemvor.
The Children of Nakasr
The Clergy CLERGY: Blackguards, clerics, monks CLERGY AL: LE, LN TURN UNDEAD: Bg: No, Cl: Yes, Mon: No CMND UNDEAD: Bg: Yes, Cl: Yes, Mon: No
Responsibilities of the Clergy •Blackguards: The unholy edge of the cult, blackguards are tasked with fighting side by side with undeath. During times of peace they protect the church and graveyards, raising those which seek to defile either as their deathly subjects, grim reminders of the power of Nakasr and the dark blessings he grants. As the most charismatic of the three aspects of the clergy, they are the natural leaders in times of conflict, initiating war time procedures and leading forces of both living and dead on the battlefield.
•Clerics: Clerics are expected to write and maintain archives on a series of subjects. The first and most important being the recording of date of birth, date of death, and date of burial of those under the purview of their jurisdiction. Second to that would be raising of dead servants to assist them in their daily tasks as well as protect them from interlopers. Finally, they would be the voice of Nakasr in things relating to death, sole individuals which are allowed to sell resurrection promissory notes or authorize the usage of arcane necromancy.
•Monks: Monks are expected to be a non-magical combination of the blackguard and clerics. Their day to day activities might consist of helping in the record keepings or burial rites of the clerics, teaching knowledge to acolytes or potential converts, and training others to combat undead. Their special tasks may consist of leading expeditions to retrieve the bodies of people who had preemptively paid for resurrections before their timely demise or carrying out stealthy assassinations on necromancers.
Structure The cult is lead by a high priest, a position held by an illustrious member who embodies the dogma and seven prayers of the faith. While considered a part of the clergy, this member does not have to be a blackguard, cleric, or monk. Below the high priest are the clerics, below which the blackguards and monks fill in the ranks.
The Cult CLASSES: Any CULT AL: LE, LG, LN, N, NE, NG
Beliefs •The Dead Three: The Dead Three are former members of the Children of Nakasr who were granted the ultimate gift. Each a portion of the ancient god's being. Due to their mortal hubris they failed to maintain the ultimate goals of death, seeking selfish extensions of their powers, and fell to unforeseen ends by The Liar. •The Exarchs: The Dead Three held below them four deities: Loviatar, Malar, Mask, and Talona. As these four deities worked towards collective ends under their masters they are to be respected as wizened powers of death, but ultimately will have to be sacrificed to the Pitiless One. •The Liar: The Liar is an entity completely outside of the scope of fate. A mortal created from the union of Leira and Ravanna to destroy the other deities and go undetected by Nakasr. From Leira he learned to deceive and weave illusions. From Ravanna he learned to defy the will of gods. Together they granted this mortal the name of Cyric. The Liar went on as prophesied, slaying Bhaal and Myrkul before turning on his mother, Leira. The power of all three deities combined, and with Bane deposed of, he rivaled that of the ancient Nakasr and went on to devour the heavens. •The Kelemvor Heresy: The deity known as Kelemvor is an aspect of Cyric. The mortal known as Kelemvor Lyonsbane was a companion of The Liar during his time as a mortal, and was slain, but he was never restored and he never was granted divinity. It was an illusion cast by Cyric to ensure he retained his portfolios over death as the other gods warred with him.
Long Term Goals •Restoration: Return Jergal his portfolios and restore him as the one and true power over death.
Short Term Goals •Residence: Establish a place of worship with functions for burial and clerical procedures. •Order: Enforce island wide sanctions on necromancy and resurrection. •Combat: Reduce influence of other deities of death, namely: Cyric, Kelemvor, Osiris, Velsharoon, and the recently ascended Anubis. This also includes the forces of other Jergali cults which are content with His complacent state. Banites may be met with hostility as the Lord of Darkness still holds control over Strife, which will need to be restored if Nakasr is to be complete.
Responsibilities of the Cult All members of the cult are expected to bring forth efforts to accomplish the collective goals. How they do so is dependent on their individual skills. A fighter may simply act as a guard or lend his aid in a battle. A rogue could gather information on dealings of unsanctioned ill doings. A bard could spread the dogma and inform of services provided. Above all, members of the cult are expected to search for knowledge which aids them in understanding death and earns themselves a place in Nakasr's archives once their bodily form fails to contain their spirit.
Initiations Each new potential acolyte is given a set of prayer beads which consists of seven monochromatic beads and then informed of what each bead represents, and the prayer which coincides with it. Afterwards they are asked if they wish to continue, if answered yes, their heads will be shaved and they will be asked to wear attire of grays and browns. The shaven head is to be maintained as the acolytes journey to enlightenment and the attire is to be worn at any public demonstration. Along their path they are to experience each of the seven prayers and complete trials relevant to each. Once the acolyte has finished his or her trials, they find the head priest and recite each prayer, giving the story of the trial. The head priest then speaks the eighth and ninth prayers and anoints them with infernal runes, signifying the competition of their journey. Upon completion of this final ritual, the acolyte is considered to have earned a place in the beyond and entrusted with the complete confidence of the clergy. Now as fully fledged members of the cult, they are able to once more grow their hair out or dress as they please. This freedom is usually overlooked within the clergy, some monks going as far as marking themselves with tattoos signifying each prayer, all seven notifying others they have gained enlightenment.
The Seven Prayers I master strife; embittered with hatred and a will for dominance. May I be recognized in trembled whispers. I seek death; found in rituals of violence. May I rend all spirit from flesh. I find death; an end to all. May I keep it always in their minds. I endure; agony reaches not my body, mind, or spirit. May I deliver it to all as recompense. I hunt; none shall flee my strike. May I remain fearless in my pursuit. I hide; concealed from their senses. May I acquire what is mine. I spread; granted amnesty of ills. May I share unhindered.

I made it with inspiration from Netheril: Empire of Magic, Faiths & Avatars, Powers & Pantheons and my own inferences of what characters would understand.
That's kind if what I gathered, though the entry is pretty cool. Are you doing anything with this in game? I would genuinely be interested in exporting this interpretation of it

I kind of understood that the goal is to gather all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle back together, the piece you start with being Jergal. Once you complete it, he'll have ascended into 'new' heights or, as the case may be, into greatness long since shattered and gone.

It is Jergal, just his old form. Biggest discrepancy being he no longer holds the portfolio of the dead and undeath which was given to Myrkul. He isn't much concerned with spreading fear and gathering respect as his ancient form was either. Yes I am doing things in game as the only definite member at the moment, Maiti Tatu.
Case by case basis, for both the heresy and the individual. If the heresy is fairly close to an established faith, or venerating an old deity that has a successor, sometimes the patron will juice the cleric on basis of "eh, close enough". Other times Shar or Cyric might give a heretical cleric their blessings purely, literally for the lulz.
Vale is pretty convinced Marcus is getting mainlined by Cyric.

I beg pardon for the curiousity.. it's definitely an interesting take and not having seen the Empires of Netheril book especially I wasn't sure how close or far it was to established canon lore.

HERESY!*BLAM*
That was a close one.
