So the name has been chosen.

Now we need a cool logo.

I found this which I like a lot:

Of course we don't want to steal art. And the background color is also not completely fitting.

My personal suggestion would be something of this style in form of a coin or wax seal.

However, if you have any fancy other ideas be creative and present them.

So anyone who is skilled with photoshop or drawing or whatever else methods there are, show us you work and we will later pick the official logo!

You should contact that Nivo fellow. I feel confident he can produce a masterpiece.

Is the "serpent" a reference to a specific serpent which occurred in game, or some certain IC legend or mythology? If so, what was its general appearance? Snake, dragon, dinosaur, Loch Ness Monster? Just so we enthusiastic yet ignorant iconographers have something to go on, ya know.

I can make it from scratch if you tell me exactly what you want.

Mythology. Sea serpent like in the one I linked.

She wants a sea serpent, puking out a wave of bones and goo, from the stuff it ate. Toss in a tire from a '57 Chevy, and a license plate from California, and call it a day.

Not something that could be used, but I thought this was cool when looking up imagery.

Hm... seeing the idea of coins were mentioned... maybe copper or a silver/gold mix! Would you mind testing out those two?

That is neat. I like 'em!

As for which is best, why not use several of the designs, to signify ranks/seniority?

The first one of those is the clear standout, I think. It looks the most like a shiny gold coin, where #3 looks to me more like something stamped into rough leather.

So how about 3 for the logo which hangs in the Guild Hall and actually is made of leather.

And 1 for coins that people can carry

Remember this is in the city that has donated like a billion in gold to a local orphanage full of snot-nosed ragamuffins and weird little island girls with heterochromia. If the local adventurer's guild wants a sign made of gold, they can afford it. :wink:

Dang those are all really nice. I am impressed. And envy the talent.

Another, more in that coin style mentioned (though I don't understand why 'coin'). Two versions, First is my preferred.

Lascer, I originally invoked the coin image not because I felt the image should necessarily be on a coin, but because in the original image that was posted in the thread, I noted a certain duality. The circular feature in the background seemed to be shaped and colored both like the disc of a setting sun over the water and like a coin. The duality of this imagery is apropos. Though that does not imply the image actually needs to be minted onto a coin or anything.

My personal preferance goes to this:

for the member patches. (there may be more later but for the beginning I wanted it to be an equal thing and not start with ranks and stuff already, but maybe later on if the palyers involved wish it!)

And this:

for the door sign and advertise posters!

I love all the suggestions though, thank you so much for helping.

The last one looks like a logo for a space-faring pokemon table tennis team.
