Hey peeps,

Has there been a verdict on how Bluff and Persuade should be used in RP with other PCs? I've been digging around the forums and can't seem to find them anymore.

My main questions are..

Is it expected that a PC rolls for Bluff every time they lie?

Is it expected that a PC rolls for Persuade whenever they're trying to convince another PC to change their mind about something?

Are these two skills best kept out of PC interaction and left to interaction with NPCs?

No one can make you roll social skills in RP. They are meant to NPC interaction.

What she said. If you want to use it and others are okay, I pretty much take it with the PNP rules: mutual agreement.

Yeah, basically meant for NPC interaction. However, if the situation calls for it, I've been known to honor exceptional skills or rolls. Especially for evil folks. If they want to mug me, for instance, and roll a great bluff check on me going out into the wilderness with them or whatnot, my character will probably do it.

Is that mandatory? No, not at all. But I appreciate that sort of rp effort, and I like my characters to reflect that.
