I have a solid concept and am nearly ready to write up the request, but before I go forward I have a few question since the answers hinge greatly on the responses.

One: Is there any way to tag it as an underdark race? I will explain the reasoning behind it in the request, more need to know if IT is possible.. then you guys can tear it apart in the request!

Quote:
Due to the fact their ancestors are succubi or incubi, all Fey'ri are able to alter their appearance at will into any humanoid creature similar to their own size, making them natural masters at disguise.

Two: How does the appearance changes work? I would request that I be able to change appearances into elf or any elven subrace.. and perhaps human but since it has to be humanoid similar in size those would be the only ones that would make sense I would think.

Tagging as a UD race isn't possible I'm afraid.

Why would a fey'ri change into a human or non-sunelf?

Thanks Glim. Not discouraged, that would just mean I would have to be a bit more creative, I can do that!

Being master of disguise and chaotic evil..why wouldn't they use it to their own benefit to do bad, naughty things and then disappear? But course that's all for the request, More interested in the mechanics here.

Probably because most other Elves, especially Sun Elves, tend to form lynch mobs and kill them on sight when they see them in their natural form. Being seen by a group of Quessir as literally anything else, even a drow, would be better than being caught as a Fey'ri. By the same token, infiltrating Sun Elven communities to try to reestablish Cormanthor is pretty high on the list of things Daemonfey descendants want to do.

They way I see it, Being CE and being able to be "in disguise" why wouldn't you want to say.. mass murder a village's children as a drow and then change into a human and "encourage" a drow hunt for the murder, then changed into an drow and lead them to capture "slaves", then changed into an elf and tip off the black archers that you seen a drow hunting party stalking humans, and finally change into your preferred Elven appearance and go home and look innocent.

Not that I'm going to .. or not going to do that.. simply that there is an endless amount of potential in that key element and what you "can" change into, not necessarily what the character would prefer.
