So, I've been AWOL for the longest time, certainly haven't been back since Ultrinnan has been destroyed. IIRC, I was gone a good while before that even happened. I've been back once or twice before to poke at the livelihood of the server before but have never stuck around.

Back in the day I played a Drow Fighter by the name of Naelin D'Tinnerai, a character that I love, of a race and society that I could feel at home in. (Perhaps that is a bad thing?) But if I really want to return, and I do, I am curious about the server and how active it is. I mean, back in the hayday Cordor used to have 20 people just standing outside of the Waukeen Temple and Ultrinnan had at least 5-6 people congregating near the gates. I mean, on a good day it took a player 5-10 minutes to even get on to the server cause of how full it was!

Needless to say, I've got fond memories of this server and the people that I used to play with. I know I could not return as a Dark elf, I just can't manage to get myself into the mindset to accurately immerse myself much less other people in that society anymore.

My question really boils down to, what places on the surface are fairly active?

Hey, welcome back! :)

I don't have formal stats or anything, but if I had to guess, I'd say the Triadic / Mystran coalition in Kohlingen is probably the most active faction.

Tarkuul is pretty active. A lot of RP can be found around Bendir Dale nowdays. Cordor is active only during the DM event nights. There's some activity in the Underdark as well with the Lolithes.

I advise you to check out this thread. viewtopic.php?f=103&t=64432

Once you go drow, you don't go back. I suck at rhyming.

Welcome back!

OK, shameless plug time. You like kickin' ass? You like outstanding camaraderie and RP? Barak Runedar is where its at buddy! Changes come about slow for a dwarven citadel, but the winds of change have been blowing on Brogendenstein! If you are curious and want to know.. make a dwarf and head to Barak Runedar!

After a fun 3 day event you get stuffs like this! http://www.amiaworld.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=1242310#p1242310

I almost done did it, I almost made a Drow. I had to seriously talk myself down from it though, we could have had an issue on our hands.

>.>

What does the Dark elf scene look like these days? Is there an actual city yet? Cause I refuse to be on abroad in those tunnels, I never liked em.

Edit: Also, I haven't said no just yet to the idea of being a dwarf.

Well... There was a city.

Ultrinin is now an underdark shark preserve, so the drow moved Abroad and founded two settlements. The multiracial center called L'Obsul and the drow enclave of Edonil. Edonil was recently overrun by demons and a large telepathic fish has taken up residence and the survivors fled to a new really isolated place called Nec'perya. The saga of Amia drow in a nutshell.

Ultrinnan-ites didn't found L'obsul, just Edonil. Surface could use some more evil guys on it if you don't feel like drow but still feel like being an antagonist, if you do want drow but to avoid the Lolthite scene then you could always do some Vhaeraunite stuff.

As for the current drow town, it is still a bit of a pain in the ass to get to but the population levels seem ok, not Ultrinnan in the more populous days but it seems a workable enough level of activity.

Also hey.

EDIT: Sun elves started the crown wars, don't trust them! >.>
