We're dusting off goblins. Bringing about a new tribe, hopefully bring about some awesome role play. I only made mine yesterday, with two others. Already we've had Blackvswhite log onto Ubee Bucktooth for some random but awesome RP in Cordor Hall.
"Real"- Tribal minded. Goblins incredibly rarely in lore are known for interacting well in civilization. Let alone getting alone well with elves or dwarves like I've seen before. I know there's that wanting to be unique. But I want you to see how fun it is to fit in. Even if your character's fitting in with a group that stands out like a sore thumb.
There's no set requirements for your goblin to join. No guarantee how well your attempt at joining will be. Goblins, like you know, aren't organized in the way civilization is. It's chaotic, it's vicious, it's awesome, and you know it. Make a goblin and join us in this. I know just as well as you that making a new character and levelling is a pain in the ass. But you don't need to be cap level to RP. Infact, I urge you not to blaze through to thirty, enjoy the RP that is goblin society!
Will there be permadeath? If so, I may be in for the ride and go down in the Big Book of Disposable Villains. Maybe I can wear a red shirt!

Yeah but I wouldn't want to go against the grain of the group. Are you thinking of a plot-driven bunch who set out to do goblin-like mischief and, as goblins are wont, probably bring down upon them the ire of the adventurers who then seek to butcher them all? Or more of a long-term commitment as established, eventually-epic PCs? I am personally not interested in the latter right now (since I already have a PC I intend to stick with), but more of an NPC-like role perhaps for other lowbies of the server to get their hour of glory with.

I will put this out there, as a few people have asked. We were hoping to keep this linear to Goblins and the odd Hobgoblin and Orrog/Ogrillon. But we don't want to exclude people from this just because they don't want to play a goblin. So it /will/ be harder to be a part of the clan as anything other than Goblin/Hobgoblin.
I was literally JUST thinking of a fun Hobgoblin build, designed for nothing but max AC (a character that's the exact opposite of Frugdar, who is a human designed for max DAMNage)... Maybe I'll try and join you guys!
Are there any specific role playing times your tribe is available?
Since there is no female dynamic body model for the goblin subrace, is it possible to have a female goblin reskinned to the male dynamic one, so she can at least have clothing options? I know I could just make a male but I want to keep the female voice set. Are there other solutions around this?
Female goblins don't really get any respect among their society, but hey, we're flexible. I don't know what you can do mechanically, but I'm sure a DM can just give your toon a female voice set.

In goblin society females are little more than baby machines but it's up to you.
LOL. I thought the purpose of this post was to sell people to play a goblin. You're not making a very compelling sales pitch from my perspective!
So... so tempted... to bring back Ais's rival-who-never-actually-met-him-yet....
Ais as the necromancer or the winged lizard? Depending the answer there may or may not be teasing and taunts.

You need to do some magic with the mods, but you can have a character with any voice regardless the gender.

Well you don't have to play a female

While usually the case, I actually think female shamans and other spellcasters do get a fair deal of respect. If nothing else then because they can turn goblins who try to make them into baby machines into a toad!
Then just make a non-caster female. Instant gobo-incubator.

Just before I fall asleep, I like to pretend it's just a public feat so Pigeon can succeed in politics and save the world from poverty... with his unicorn and shining armour and Excalibur.
First will this clan eventually be filled with dragon winged gobos who speak perfect yet sardonically inflected common, who spend their days sneering down (up...) at folk at Bendir Dale?
Second will the roles and status of races like Ogrillions and Hobgoblins be in keeping with the lore that such creatures have in regards to gobos?
I have a character I would love to see in the company of some excellent gobos but not if its going to turn into anything like the first question and/or nothing like the second question
Im torn currently between the brutish Hobgoblin melee type or playing the Hobgoblin Authoritarian style Cleric.
