The other day, I was in an adventuring party and we were trying to figure out where to go. Now, having been gone for three years and still in the process of catching up on three years worth of lore changes on Amia, I didnt know one of the areas that was a huge hunting ground back in the day has undergone a great change.
The discussion came down to the players not wanting to meta-game the npcs/war going on which is the IC conflict (in this case the horde invading the stunty lands of Brogdenstein), which I completely understand but it was also said that OOCLY it wasnt plausable either. It seems like in general the server rules have not changed that much but is there a rule for areas under such circumstances that players are not allowed to go there at all with out dm supervision?.
Are the areas being handled in the same way that might be used for say an evil lolthie drow sneaking into corder would need direct dm supervision, if it was allowed at all?.
I'm also curious as to how specific it is, my characters still have bound points high up the mountain away from the dwarven settlement, is that off limits as well?.
Im all for not meta-gaming npcs especially given the circumstances but how should it be handled when it comes to a "We just want to hunt and level" scenario?"

NPCs in the area -> Contact a DM. NPCs not in the area -> Go nuts and hope a bunch of level 30 PCs don't come picking a fight. Actually, you should hope that they do because it's fun.
There are neutral ways into Brogendenstein, afaik.

Though with the new outlet you also do not have to enter Barak Runedar / go through the Gates anymore to get to the wilderness if I remember correctly. You have a High risk to run into quite a bunch of PC there too, of course. That said, it is not the only way to get there anyways.

As far as I know unless there's a post on here like there is for the walled off area of Brogendenstein port itself, you're more or less free to go anywhere you arn't explicitly banned. The dwarven area of Brogendensteinis a bit of an odd case at the moment since they've effectively banned anyone "not on the list".

Above suggestions, obviously. But also yes, afaik you can still use the peak binding, I haven't been in game a while though to know if there's anything to not allow that, I doubt it though, it's not often major things affect hunting grounds where you can't go to them what so ever, usually. I'm almost certain that there are some instances where it does happen though.
There's also the possibility of other hunting grounds, I do understand that's not always viable in terms of time available to play the game in general and if things are still similar to when I was hunting more regular when I was in game, often people already have most of the good hunting grounds. But if you do happen to have the time you could then explore the areas you've never been and the ones added over the time you've been gone, assuming its not more effort than its worth vs time spent looking for newer areas and whatnot.
