Quick question,
if a shifter is in a particular form and dies, does he revert to his original form in death or does he retain the form he's in even in death. and does this apply to the thousand faces widget as well.

You need to re-equip all your gear if you die while shifted btw. Othwise you won't gain anything from your gear.

All Malar's shifter faithful are gone anyways. they lacked clerical guidance!

That has nothing to do with this thread >8U

Also, good, because Malarites are stupid and gimicky.

To answer your question: if you die while shifted into say, a dire tiger, you do revert back to your 'natural form'. If you die while under the effect of the One Thousand Faces widget, you do not change back into your original form. You stay in your sneaky disguise.

Aaand as a 30-seconds-later-edit, I totally ignored Dead's response, so you can just ignore this if you like. I don't know the lore-how behind the fact that you don't change back to your original form from the One Thousand Faces widget skinchange.

its because 1k faces is a skin change tool so it cant..... but I'm 99.999% sure that IC you are ment to treat it as them returning to their normal form.(give them a OOC raise for them to change back to normal form if needed)

Haha, just a bonus. You unshift when you die in game, and the Master of the Wild does not explain it well. Not even going into detail for how long you remain shifted. However, you revert to your own form upon death, because that is the case of the game mechanics. You can only be shifted for a limited time, so eventually you would revert back.
I would assume it goes for 1k faces as well, but haven't tested it.

Edit: A bit late..

Cory has the right of it.

If a Shifter/Duid or what not uses the 1k faces widget and gets killed, they would in fact revert to their natural form, even if the widget doesn't auto-swap you on-death.

If you die in a shape you go back to your true form, the 1k faces does not turn you back but you must do it yourself. Its what the DMs told me so.

Not just Druids and Shifters (the class), btw. -All- people who can shift turn back to their normal form when they die, including, for example, Lycanthropes.

Which makes explaining the whole situation afterwards them so much more awkward if you meet them in a city.
