Lately I have been having the strange problem of only being able to detect one server at a time. Its random as to which one and I can often see them both in the Gamespy menu, but not in the favorites category. Sometimes I reboot and I see them both ok then. Even if I am on the server I detect I can use the rest button to see people on the other server but when I try to portal wand or join through the gamespy menu it just times me out. I don't have any other lag related issues, I am wondering perhaps a port problem or some such? Any ideas?

Try direct connecting through 84.243.255.52:5121 for A and 84.243.255.52:5122 for B. That may help? I know that Gamespy is wonky as all get out and it's best to just avoid it.

Yes. Definitely a port problem or an issue with your firewall settings, assuming you use a router. I experienced the same thing whenever I installed a router for the first time. One server would have negative ping, the other showed it had 266 players online, or I could only successfully and flawlessly play in Server B but not A.

I messed with the damn thing (router) for hours, trying out all the configurations Google search results gave to me. In the end, I simply disabled the firewall, and it started working fine.

Well darn, that was the answer I was dreading... I live above my shop though so I have to use a firewall for the business. I guess monday I'll monkey with it. It seems less a problem lately, I just reboot.
