My drow character Nizzre'tyne purchased slaves from the Illithid slave market in Underport. I had DM permission and paid gold for each of the 4 human slaves.

I have been RPing them and it's been suggested to make the most prominent one a bottled companion.

52 is a human male of about 18-19yrs, brown hair, brown eyes. Since he's taller and bigger than the drow he serves he kneels a lot and often walks in his knees in the presence of priestesses so he's not taller than they are.

Can you move the bottled companion around like the familiar of a mage/sorc? What are the pro's can cons of a reskin vs a bottled companion regarding a character like 52?

Anyone that has had interaction with 52 please let me know what you think. I don't want to ruin the fun we've been having with 52. :)

I have a bottled companion on Robert. In a nutshell:

- It has has very low hp (I think 4), and if you enter a fight it is unsummoned with an emote "Runs away", or dies if it is hit before it can run.
- It can not use the speech system like familiars, summons or animal companions. That means you need to write if he talks in your own chat.
- It follows you like a regular summon, but is not in your party list. (No, it can not be possessed like a familiar.)

- You however get one suit of armor, one suit of clothing, one helmet and one long sword that stays in your inventory. Through a conversation system you can order him to put that on, so you can style the outfit as you like as often as you like.
- You can have the bottled companion out, as well as another summon/familiar/animal companion.
- You can ask a dm to add a scabbard or backbag (possible also wings and tails), and you can choose which head you want.
- Name can be changed to what you want upon creation, but not altered at a later time.

52 is such an interesting subsidiary personality to Nizzy... I WANT HIM IN MY WEB-BED!
The emote widget allows some degree of (cumbersome) control, and the chat command of course allow the same roundabout, complicated means of manipulating it.

Bottled companions are just for RP *not fighting or anything elfe* and if you want to emote them you have to do it yourself and just hope the other players can figure it out. A bottled companion is great for RP though, my mulan has a "slave" for a bottled companion which is perfect for her since she wouldn't take something so valuable into a fight, but for drow on the other hand....

I would think this would be best as a bottled companion.

So, 52 would totally *Run and dive under the nearest furniture* He's got no weapon, no armor, no shoes just a shirt and pants. He better not know how to fight, lol.

Sounds like bottled companion is the ticket. It could be interesting to craft the clothes on Nizzre then put them on 52. Victyr knows all about that *snickers*
