I've only been back on the server a few days and already I am seeing the same old things which bother me.

These are very generalized examples of things that have happened to me, and others on the server.

For example, hostile type spells cast upon my character without setting my character to hostile, with the excuse... "I'm not attacking you so I don't have to set you to hostile."

PVP attacks without setting to hostile AND without the benefit of any RP, just straight out attacked. The excuse "I don't have to give you RP."

Blatant metagaming of NPC Guards in the initialization of PvP.

Are we to just disregard the rules, then?

I'm not usually the kind of guy to screenshot and bitch to a DM, but I'm getting sick and tired of the causal disregard of rules because a character is perceived to be on the evil side.

I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say that if you -really- want the problem fixed, actually start grabbing those Screenshots. Most of the time, rules are broken out of ignorance or mistake, so a simple correction, stated in a respectful manner- is gonna yield fantastic results. If it still becomes a problem after that, then start taking screenshots. Posting a topic like this isn't going to fix the problem.

The Dm's can't be everywhere at once- so it comes down to the players to have their own integrity and to become a part of the system- To assist in the enforcing of the rules by holding themselves to the standard, and bringing others with them.

People here aren't monsters, they don't actively go out of their way to break rules. Those that do have either been weeded out already or are under close observation. Sure, they don't want their character to die, so they might act in blind self-preservation. Fix the problem on the spot with respectful tells, and if that fails, actually screenshot. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
