I am sorry, but what's epic about that thing, aside description?

I guess it was a mistake in the loot table, and it would be nice to fix it somehow, cause... it was very disappointing experience.

Epic bosses can sometimes drop normal loot, if you fail the epic roll.

Yeah but you can get all sorts of stuff aside from epic items. Deity rings and shit. This has been on for a long time and it is normal. There are actually two rolls I was told. First is the roll which tells do you get an epic or non-epic item. Then the second roll what it is.

EDIT:
3 rolls for everything.
1. Loot (yes you can still get all sorts of items, aside from epic ones)
2. Crafting items
3. Deity rings

Thats intentional, for the paired ones only one is supposed to drop epic loot.

I think an epic boss can drop up to like 7 items

1. Scripted drop (fire giant belt)
2. +4 Item
3. +5 Item based on server-script
4. Flawless Mythal
5. Deity ring
6/7. Scroll or wand? Don't know if these share a drop.

Yup, that is about right. Theoretically you could get all of those at once. (though its pretty unlikely)

I wish the Flawless drop chance was a bit higher, at least a separate 5% roll.

Worse thing is epic running and not getting anything for a week or two then you get a epic blank scroll.

Yeah. I did boss runs for almost a year. Got nothing. Then in one glorious week I got literally everything I could want over three days. Then the well dried up again.

So this has happened again, and has happened with every boss drop I've seen over the last week where it turns out to be a 4th tier item. All rolls were 5< and every monster was an epic boss (Fire Giant King just dropped a Cloak of Protection +4)

This was fixed a while back, a script error that was not properly tagging bosses.
