I'm getting the 20% xp penalty, i tough this was removed?
I'm an Aasimar(fav class paladin) cleric 16 fighter 2
It happens on both A and B, tested it with some friends
We hunted in khem,beastmen,brog orcs,barbarians, whatever area we try i keep getting 20% less xp then everyone else
even +2 ecl races were getting more xp then me, so its not that that's causing the bug

If I had to take a guess, it'd probably have something to do with the age of your character compared to said +2 ECL'ers. Was yours created before or after the change went through?

It's the multi-class penalty on top of the Aasimar ECL that's causing it, most likely.

My Chultan Rog10/Ftr2/Ass17 is getting the multiclass penalty too. At least in the abandoned lair in golf of lumorier.

If a Human (or Favored Class "Any") race gets a PRestige Class as their highest class elvel, it counts as their favored class despite prestige classes not normally counting. This will, in error, begin XP multiclass penalties.

Bumping this so it can be found easier. I've heard this come up several times lately - with characters that don't have Favored Class: Any.

This is still in effect and happens to my character Hanamori Saya. I leveled up not knowing that the penalty was supposed to be removed, so I avoided it for most levels, but there were levels where I had the penalty. That is the case for the level I am doing at the moment.

Race: Elf
Sub: Feytouched
Classes: rogue / ranger / bard
Current: 7 rogue / 10 ranger / 4 bard

Whenever I got bard levels, everything worked as intended and no penalty was given as long as rogue and ranger were 1 level away from each others. However, whenever rogue is higher than ranger by more than 1 (or vice versa), the penalty occurs.

Proof to show: I could easily prove it with screenshots if I had assistance. Taking screenshots on my laptop is complicated, and I would require someone to sit by Saya as she kills an epic creature solo. For example, I went with In'ei to the fire giant lair not long ago (level 21) and bad stuff happened to In'ei, so I ended up finishing giants solo. I did not receive 60+ exp from these kills.

Is there some kind of compensation for the time wasted?

Jagger tells me he doesn't have the bug. I assume Jagger's character is a normal human. Is it possible that the bug only affects characters that have an Amian subrace? From this thread, I see Feytouched, Aasimar, Chultan

This bug seems to have been solved.. that, or it at least works on feytouched
