So a group killed the Phane a bit ago and when it died it dropped the loot just under the terrain to where you could see the Tab-glow but couldn't click on it. I went IG and verified just in case there was some way of getting to it that I could see from being there, there wasn't. Never seen it happen before there (it's kind of like in the Quags or Brog when something dies and leaves loot you can't see but it's there and you can click it to get it). Perhaps we may just need to remove that rock, but I don't know a good result for this. It'd be nice if we could swing a Flawless their way to compensate for the lost mythal (it didn't drop loot just the mythal; no loot roll was made).

Secondary thing: The Phane apparently died to a SoV, because it took damage from SoV on everyone's log and then there was nothing else said. No message about it dying, gold gained, or even a loot roll. I assume that's cause SoV killed it and the game didn't register that as a PC having killed it? Any way to fix that, or is it a stupid NWN thing?

There really isn't a way to fix that. It's done like that to make sure that PCs are not getting loot when monsters kill monsters. Likely whoever cast the SoV was killed at which point SoV looses track of who cast it and it affects everyone. Same thing happens with the fire giant witches. When you kill the one who cast it, it becomes 'ownerless' and just starts trying to screw everyone.
