He got a copy from GoG, and I didn't know it didn't come automatically with a CD key. Does requesting one actually work?

It should! Just need to E-mail them for a unique one as the generic one won't work.

It took my brother only a couple of hours to received his CD Key, it's quick to do!

Okay, thanks :D Now /I/ have a problem. I'm unable to get past the launcher with Windows 7. It gave me an error initially but now it just disappears. Any advice?

Solved. I updated my drivers and it seems to work now. :D
