Sworn To: His Grace, Lord Arsant Wiltun the Fifth, Jarl of Wiltun and Caraigh
Sigil: Black Raven with Outspread Wings and Crimson Eyes over two crossing scimitars.
Words: Yesterday is Dead, Tomorrow has yet to arrive.
House Avadon is a noble family, sworn to the service of the Wiltun dynasty, founded by Sir Avadon of Wiltun, the First Knight of the current Jarl, Arsant Wiltun the Fifth. Though the First Knight was born of common blood, he set himself apart when he swore his blade and his service to the Jarl. This knight's past is clouded by rumors of betrayals, manipulations and allegations of murders, but in Wiltun he has earned the love and respect of his Lord and his countrymen.
As a branch of Wiltun nobility, it is a house deeply routed in a military background of discipline and unwavering service to the Jarl. Since the knighting of Lord Avadon, the brokered annexation of Caraigh, numerous victories over the enmies of Wiltun and his subsequent marriage to Lardy Darby Mirth, House Avadon has been elevated to become one of the premier families in the Wiltun Jarldom.
Most recently, House Avadon has grown in size after the special law enforcement branch, the Jarl Wardens, were assimilated as retainers and sworn to His service. Adopting the sigil of Wiltun's Raven with two crossing scimitars at its back and the words, "Yesterday is Dead, Tomorrow has yet to arrive," House Avadon seeks to establish itself further by bringing economic and continued military dominance in the region.

Sigil: Words: House Goldberg
Founder: His Lordship, Lord Calmnus Goldberg, First of His Name
Lord: His Lordship, Lord Augir Goldberg
Heir: Sir Talbott Goldberg
Sworn to: The Duchy of Cordor
Sigil: Words: Our Crown All Shall Hail
His Lordship, Lord Calumnus Goldberg, was among the original founders of Cordor. In fact, it was due to the wealth of the Goldberg family that the coterie of noblemen were able to settle on the southern coast of Amia and begin construction on a trade city. The investment in the Cordor settlement nearly bankrupted the Goldberg family, but when they prospected nearby gold deposits they were not only able to recover but also to produce the first currencies on the island, establishing the Goldberg Mint.
The Goldberg Mint was instrumental in creating the solid overseas trade environment that helped Cordor to flourish. The Goldberg family may never have experienced rulership of the duchal city-state, but without their influence, organizations like the Cordorian Merchant's Guild would never have risen to such prominence.
In his youth, Lord Augir Goldberg was severely wounded during a duel with a bastard son of his father claiming Lord Augir's privileges. The bastard was slain, but a deep laceration cut through Lord Augir's browline developed sepsis and over time he lost his sight. When the Commonwealth government deposed Duke Montgommery d'Cordor, the Goldberg Mint was siezed in the hours before the revolution in a surprise maneuver; in turn, Lord Augir Goldberg fled the city-state of Cordor and made contact with other cordorian nobles who fled the violence directed against them, including the Duchess Eileen d'Cordor, with the intent to restore the crown.

House Manfried
Founder: His Lordship Earl Groevus Manfried
Lord: Earl Manfried
Heir: -
Sworn to: The Holy City of Kohlingen
Words: The Light Upon the Hill
Sigil: Black Fleur de Lis on a Field of Blue and Red, Vertical Separation
House Manfried was a well respected House that settled the northern coast of Amia many generations after the southern coast was settled. Earl Groevus Manfried was a disenfranchised jarl of Ruathym who, persecuted for the apparent weakness of his Ilmateri faith during wartime, took to the sea with his court (derisively called his congregation in Ruathym) and sailed to Benwick Hollow in the wake of like-minded pilgrims from the mainland. First they established a monastery, then a vineyard, and then in time the monastery become the Manfried estate as the family gradually lost the religious fervor of its early days.
The last scion of the house, the young Earl Harold Manfried, had the ambition to restore the diminished glory of House Manfried by seeking and destroying one of a set of notorious artifacts in the Necronomic Compendium. His good friend and a similary young nobleman of Cordor, Duke Montgommery d'Cordor, joined him on this crusade, eager to put his magical experience to use. The two young nobles found the vile tome, but Montgommery's sudden reluctance to destroy any knowledge and Harold's realization that the book could have power over the undead that stayed their hands. Instead, they brought it back to Amia with them, and Harold agreed to keep it under magical lock and key in the basement of his manor.
Earl Manifred was corrupted by the book. Duke d'Cordor sought a solution to his friend's corruption in the tome, but was himself subtly ensorcelled. He then stole a grand sum of money from a charity event with the intent to use it to abscond with the book. Due to the intervention of local adventurers, the book's plans were for Duke d'Cordor were thwarted and it became widely known that Earl Harold Manfried had been transformed into a vampire and had been feeding upon travelers and tax collectors. Duke Montgommery returned to Cordor and confessed his crimes to the public and made reparations, and thus these details became a matter of public record. In light of this news, Earl Harold Manfried was tried in absentia, deemed guilty of assault, murder, corruption and witchcraft. The earl was stripped of his title, effectively ending the Manfried line with his sin; so strong was the sentiment against him that most of the common folk came to assume the vampire's given name was Earl, rather than a noble title, and so in the years that ensued most people simply came to know him only as the wicked Earl Manfried, rather than the Earl Harold Manfried. The Holy City attempted to apprehend the former nobleman many times, but the book's hold on him would not allow Earl Harold Manfried to escape the curse of his undeath.
After many years House Caris, the Triadic Knights and the Eternal Order brought the Justicar's exacting justice to Earl Harold Manfried. They cleansed the taint that burdened the family and land by destroying the book and arrested Earl Manifred, who was executed by the Imperator of Kohlingen.

House Nevlin
Founder: Unknown
Lord: Lord Arik Nevlin
Heir: Sigurd Nevlin
Sworn to: First Axe of Ruathym, Jarl of Ottar
Bannermen: Various minor Houses of Ruathym
Sigil: A hound sejant on a field of black paly blue.
Words: Adamant and unyielding, we guard the realm
An old and proud House of Ruathym, whose scribes will tell of a history dating back to the first inklings of civilisation upon the isles. Though considered respectable among their peers, perhaps their only true claim to fame is in not at all being notable in the history of the Ruathym, despite their age and seemingly well-preserved records. Ambition, it seems, has not been a priority, and perhaps it is this which has kept the House alive over the centuries. Some question the truth of their distinctly peaceful history in the occasionally cut-throat diplomacy of the country.
Lord Arik Nevlin maintains a firm hand over his affairs, educating his sons in the importance of loyalty and statesmanship in preserving the family and extending their wisdom for the good of the realm. His tireless efforts have done much to preserve the image of a loyal and unassuming noble family. They maintain their holdings in Ottar, the largest island of Ruathym, and reside in an estate on this land. They are known to have cordial relations with House Avadon and Lord Steward Unter Wilshod.

House Shadowflame
Founder:Lord: His Lordship, Thane Cory of Wiltun
Heir: -
Sworn to: House Caris [Formerly], House Wiltun
Words:Sigil: Red Dragon on a Field of Gold
House Shadowflame achieved it's station as a lesser house through wealth and influence. It counted among it's number powerful individuals such as Charming Shadowflame and Wagnard Hilstad Shadowflame, the reknown yet questionable reputed arcanist. For a long time the lineage of red dragon blood was central to it's power and structure.
Through time the line of succession has been broken repeatedly, and the actual bloodline of nobility seized to exist repeatedly, bestowing the title on prestiged members in absence of an heir. The last line, carried by the Tarvencia family, was broken with the forfeiting of title by it's heirs Lady Nevaeh Tarvencia and Lord Erik Tarvencia.
While the actual lineage had seized to exist and it's claim had been more than questionable, the house now once more is a house of nobility through the ennoblement of lord Cory Shadowflame, who has been bestowed the title of Thane by Jarl Arsant Wiltun for his services to the Jarldom and her interrests.

Elevated to the nobility by the Lady Justicar Cystana L'saenirais for devotion of service to the Holy City and the common good of the Realm, House Valis was founded by Ulrik Valis in 1382. Honored for service to the Holy City, which included founding two branches of government, an academy, as well as a wealth of projects surrounding the city's expansion, and service to the court of Kohlingen as an adviser under two anointed Justicars. In addition, he was honored for efforts in upholding the good of the Realm, which included his effort and sacrifice in reforming the Monolith of Mystra into a goodly aligned institution which opposed a number of evils in its time, including the vampire coven of Count d'Mortegaurde, the Red Wizards, and the Arcanum.
Known for his opposition to the Arcanum and criticism of Revolution of the Commonwealth, Ulrik Valis has known ties and regard for the Duchess Eileen d'Cordor and her lost husband, Duke Montgomery d'Cordor. He was also a strong proponent for the formation of the Treaty of Light. Through his wealth and influence, he had the unofficial standing of a noble within the Holy City long before being granted his Lordship officially.
Although newly named nobility, House Valis is already a prominent one in the Holy City. A supporter of the Art, charity, and promoting Mystran values in the city of Kohlingen, with an already established history of service in the halls of courts and governments, the military, and in advisory roles to servants of the city.
