With the server year being 1382 if I am not misstaken, how is the server lore following what has been going on since 1375?

As I have understood by 1380 (five years after the civil war outbreak) it looks a little like this:

Two members of the council (Szass Tam and Yaphall - who is the head of the school of divination) defected trying to make Szass Tam the supreme ruler of Thay. Incidentially they are trying to do away with Thays council-system. Yaphall has reasons to follow Szass Tam but at present the rulers should look like this I believe:

Necromancy - Szass Tam
Divination - Yaphell
Evocation - vacant (a)
Enchantment - vacant (b)
Abjuration - vacant (b)
Conjuration - Nevron (since 1375)
Illusion - Dmitra Flass (since 1375)
Transmutation - Samas Kul (replaced Druxus Rhym in 1375 DR)

(a) Aznar Thrul was murdered and won't be replaced till 1385)
(b) Lallara Mediocros (abjuration) and Lauzoril (enchantment) both died in 1378

Server lore splits off at....1374, I think? Nothing after that, per canon, is true. Only up til then. After that it's up to the DMs what is going on where.

Ah well that makes sense, thank you :)
However the civil war in Thay is a defining factor of the future for the country and Red Wizards as an organisation. Would be fun to hear if any DM has given out any official information on what is up in Thay!

The idea was that after that date, lore-savvy DMs who have read a given book series could fill the rest in and offer their suggestion for the team to consider. Things that were left hanging at 1374 (if that's the date; can't be bothered to check) would be written to a closure somehow and new plotlines wouldn't be picked up - mostly they'd be stuff explicitly leading to 4e and the planned changes to the setting. Can't comment on Thay since I haven't read those books, but I think it's a bad idea to incorporate major changes that aren't reflected in the last game books (Unapproachable East, probably) on the subject. That's where most players and DMs get their lore.

So unless DM plots have incorporated some of those events, they're not and probably ought not be part of the Amian timeline. The very goal of setting the timeline was to clarify once and for all what novels and game supplements are Amia canon. Everything published later would be irrelevant and thus the lore corpus would remain complete and static, only increased by Amian stories.
