Szuldar
Strange name but I came across it when I was researching the legends of genasi backgrounds.

Apparently szuldar are shiny lines all over every genasi's body which differ from genasi to genasi.

My question is, is that 4e or 3e, for the RP correctness of this?

It is 4e, but as all planetouched traits are ambiguously defined and up to the discretion of the player (to a reasonable degree) you could certainly incorporate them into your genasi.
