South of Bendir Dale in the Northern Amia Frontier, rumors of Ghost sightings have merchants and travelers in the area in a state of quiet anxiety. Reports from sightings in the hills describe the hauntings as malicious, angered, and likely dangerous. The ghosts tend to manifest on dark, stormy nights, and due to baleful moaning of the words "Murderer", "Justice", and "Gorrin" during these apparently hostile encounters, some travelers have taken to naming the tales "Gorrin's Ghost".

As ominous dark clouds pour in from the south over Bendir Dale, a baleful moan is heard once more amidst the hills in the northern Amian Frontier. A flash of lighting, a roll of thunder-- these were all that preceded a swath of restless souls which began to haunt the roadways in their unending fury. After a slew of concerned individuals from the nearby village went to inspect the scene, a terrible scream would be loosed among a series of maddened mutterings. It was not long before all else grew silent; all but the sound of rain and thunder.

Something still yet cursed those hills with a palpable malice for anyone yet so sensitive, something which had grown the more fevered still.

Sullivan, a local resident of Bendir would have been present for the storm heading over Bendir. In the cover of darkness, he would start lurking among the frontier in search of paranormal disturbances. When the night draws to a close, he'd wander around the perimeter of Bendir, coating the ground with holy water. The next eve, he was back in the frontier trying to catch a ghost.

Crow spends a bit more time in the Northern Frontier area, seemingly unaware of the rain. A flash of lightning might reveal his presence, but upon the next bright burst of energy, the location would appear abandoned. The ranger, with a sword that hungers for undead, in hand, listens to the night sounds, for anything unnatural, and watches.

During the day, Crow browses the available library in the Bendir Town Hall, and Fendel's collection at the Hinn Inn, for any record of someone named Gorrin. He would also ask Cindle, in the Town Hall, if there was record of anyone with that name.

A familiar, ominous sheet of black clouds covered the night sky, having rolled in from south of Bendir Dale. The storm would bring with it strong winds, pouring rain, and frequent cracks of lightning. In the hills of the Amian Frontier, a strange mist may have been noted by curious travelers making the trek to confirm the stories and rumors surrounding the appearance of malicious spirits on nights such as these.

With a lingering echo of a man's howl, the storm would pass over into nothingness as quickly as it had come, back to the nowhere it seemed to have spawned from just moments ago. For the sensitive, the feeling of unease in the northern Amian Frontier would grow deeper. Even the Orcs began to take notice of abnormal activity, driving some of them to unrest and risky behavior.

In an increasing amount, the sudden storms would show some regularity on their appearance. While every night would not carry with it the dark, rolling clouds, each incident of abnormally poor weather in the regions of Bendir Dale and to the South would be accompanied by fierce lightning and rumors of restless spirits that are said to haunt the hills. With a movement of bodies into the source of the disturbance, the storm would move on once more as it had so many times before-- leaving only a feeling of unease behind in its wake.

A few days after the strange storm and events. A paladin can be seen laying down a candle and offering prayer where the ghost was last encountered. Around the candle he drips holy water. When the prayer is complete he takes from his knee and continues on though it is noticed he drops by every once and awhile to check on things.

With the peace and pity offered by travelers as of late, as well as a lack of noted violence in the hills save for the ever-present Orcish menace, the storms would not grow lighter-- but less sudden, and mostly without a malign presence which has overtaken the Northern Amian Frontier prior. The storms would come bringing heavy rains and cool winds, with lightning arcing out to a thunder's rolling roar.

Some new rumors would surface in the inns, taverns, and bars of Cordor and the villages to the north. Stories not of angry, restless spirits but of ghostly human men performing seemingly everyday tasks: sharpening blades, gathering wood, making camp, and taking turns at watch. With all of the commotion surrounding the history of otherworldly violence, few travelers have approached the scenes for fear of violence returning once more.

The feeling of general unease and restlessness, however, would persist into the coming nights.

Tuomas would take to establishing a small camp which he maintained as best he could, with only short sojourns into the nearby Dale for supplies or to check for missives, obviously thoughtful of this whole matter.

Dru is a frequent visitor to Tuomas's camp. He keeps his journal handy to jot down descriptions and names, if available, of anyone who happens by. He is sure to offer his friendly smile as well as introduce himself.

All the while a soft humming comes from a little glass jar in his pack.

Tuomas continued to maintain his watch at the Dale, but spent some time as he was resting doing some mathematics based on an event which had happened earlier.

With patrols of Caraigh and Amia taking much of his time, Crow sets aside some of it, for Lord Tuomas' camp site. The ranger generally stands quiet, alone, and he tries not to bother anyone, though an occasional subject may pique his interest.

As the camp continues to linger on the hills of orc territory, those who remain in it may begin to notice that they're being watched. More and more frequently, gleaming eyes appear in the dark, under cover of shrubs and trees during early and late hours. Occasionally, subtle changes can be found in the camp, such as supplies disturbed, misplaced, missing, or even left behind. It seems some of the local, more mischievous creatures have taken notice.

Gorrin's Ghost would come and go with the storms, always rolling in suddenly from the south on otherwise calm and quiet nights. The strong winds and rains would wear upon the hills of the northern Amian Frontier until a ghostly scene would enact once more as if from a recurring play. Those camped out in the hills to see the paranormal show would be greeted with a number of spectral Bandits on the hills along the southern road. What would play out from there, of course, is the oft-told tale of Gorrin and his gruesome end.

While stories of the sighting are certain to raise a few glasses at the tavern, little peace is had for the restless dead waiting endlessly for their prize in the cold, lonely, rainy nights in the Amia Frontier.

Matthew would be seen gathering bodies of the dead and laying them out under a few tents made in to some form of shelter to keep the bodies out from the elements where they might begin to deteriorate. He goes about taking arrows out of them and cleaning them up a bit whilst looking for any religious or holy symbols or marking. Even any form of identification. Anything found would be marked down and none of the belonging would be moved or taken. Each is settled with the body. Matthew then settles with them for a while simply taking in each person during the rain.

Tuomas would help Matthew with the bodies as best he could, contemplative and deeply worried about what was happening. He seemed to as the night went on remain relatively quiet after the bodies were attended.

Matthew then attempts to organize a manner of bringing the bodies to the west in carts to try and see if the men can be returned to their families, if not he tries to see to proper burial rites. Prior to this Matthew attempts to see if he can revive any of the slain men. Matthew also tries to coordinate one individual to be atemptedly raised by a Kelemvorite.

Attempts at raising the recent spree of reckless, petty bandit activity would be met with acceptance but overall mixed attitudes. Questioning the men and women would be met with mixed results of fear, insults, escape attempts, and a fair number of people seemingly apologetic for their actions. For those more open to conversation, the hillside camp would learn that bandits have been filtering into the Amia Frontier with increased frequency as of late, as a message has circulated with the rumors of Gorrin's tale reaching near Folk Hero levels of significance in certain circles.

Unlike the original bandits, however, the recent waves of thieves and brigands react with open, indiscriminate violence on passerby... including what could be considered their own kind.

Tuomas can be seen about the camp giving the following standing orders to any who would heed him at the camp:

1) Non Lethal force against any human bandits exclusively if possible.

2) Do not strike first but strike last.

3) Any prisoners are to be treated as fairly as possible , and held for a night then released back if they do not show imminent intent to attack again.

The bandit assaults and general villainy across the Frontier would come to an abrupt, grinding halt. Driven in by a rallying cry, the Bandits were soon captured by the Camp's prepared stance of nonlethal measures-- while wandering adventurers not in on the plan and a particularly ruthless Dragonshape made quick, bloodied, often charred remains of the others. Amidst the ensuing chaos many incapacitated Bandits awoke and fled; some of these would return to their haunts, others yet questioning their life choices thus far. Despite the unwanted carnage, the bandit rumor of the great dragon dubbed "Gorrin's Bane" worked wonders for dissuading further attacks.

While some captured thieves were most cooperative, some were far less so-- playing in to yet more local rumors and paying with their own life if it meant adventurer blood on the soil for their cause.

For those that would speak the word of He who shall not be Named, however... the bodies would go unfound, and even magical means would find no trace of the offender's soul. If those in question yet still existed, it may be inferred that they may not wish to any longer. A poor bargain for any cause, to be sure.

After a series of.. rather unpleasant instances, the camp on the Frontier was re-established more in the South eastern portion near the crypt entrance.

Tuomas in particular makes special note to ensure he has suitable supplies for maintaining good hygiene.

A certain pale-faced bard had come by, since Gorrin's Bane, and spoken to certain persons with powerful emotion- connected both to that Ghost, and to another Named One. He had been spotted traveling through the area somewhat frequently, but never lingering.. sometimes he had let sand and pieces of wool drift along behind him, most likely carried off in the winds of the storms, as he sang a sad song of the foolishness of mortals..

Rania would be seen at the campsite much less frequently now; pausing long enough to pass on new information or to receive an update from certain individuals before returning to Bendir Dale or other parts unknown.

While waking up at the camp a moment in the middle of the night, Tuomas went outside his tent to find an ice statue of a Gnome similar to him looking at the tent entrance. Pausing, he'd blink and scratch his head in confusion a moment, before he checked it over.

Seeing no immediate harm, he simply left it be for the time being and went on to his business, albeit quite confused.

((The Ice Gnome ahd been left by someone ICly.. ))

Meanwhile, in Bendir Dale, Crow chuckles at something told to him, by a frosty someone, and wonders aloud, at what Lord Tuomas' reaction would be. Surprise, comes to Crow's mind first, with confusion, followed quickly by the frosty someone.

Also, Crow may make passes near to the frontier camp, on his patrols, but seems not to linger now as he once did.

Yet another Gnome would appear at the foot of the Gnomes tent, almost identical to the last one, barring this one has a hand raised up as if covering its eyes from the sun.
Other than the one arm raised, the size, shape and proportions are identical to the last gnome.

After countless nights of sudden storms, ghostly lights, and ethereal displays upon the Frontier Hills, the ghost of Gorrin and presumably his compatriots would spot a lone wagon rolling in from the north along the southern road. Having broken a wheel in the crevice by the cliffside, the Bandits would rush to meet the wanderers they had expected so very long ago. After a mild confrontation without bloodshed, the spirits of the dead bandits made off with what they assumed to be crates of their fabled treasures, eager to forgo their fake identities and leave this thieving act behind them. Where they'll go, or what they'll do when they get there, they did not know... but while they failed in finding their new lives, they had at last with assistance at least found peace and rest. Gorrin's Ghost wandered north into Benwick Hollow along the usual roads tailed by concerned adventurers, and met his rest alone in an unmarked grave amongst the company of many laid their in peace.

A record would remain of his ideals, and his stories would linger yet longer in taverns and alleyways as long as his message of the common man's plight rang still with any truth.

Having dismantled his camp, Tuomas would stay an ight in the Dale, taking time to reflect on what would happen, a measure of shame in his eyes though some serenity given the peaceful rest Gorrin has been granted.

Dru spent some minutes at the grave he'd reburied Gorrins body in all those weeks ago. It was quiet now the others had gone and he was alone. In his hands he held a terribly damaged journal, Gorrins last thoughts.

The stress of the last several hours had caught up to him and with none but those at rest to notice, his shoulders slumped as he prayed quietly. Ultimately he had been with Gorrin as he left for the fugue. He gave himself a measure of relief that some small part of his duty had been fulfilled. But the smile he wore was not for a robber or a ghost, but rather for a man named Gorrin who had found peace and comfort in Kelemvors embrace.

In the last hours of night just before the dawn broke, a hooded figure clad in Wiltun Green stood over Gorrin's grave. In his hand was a single gold coin, highly polished, the faint light of morning glinting from it as he turned it over in his hand. After a few moments, he flipped the coin into the air, caught it and turned it up on the back of his hand. "Heads.", he says, a small smile forming on his lips. "Tymora smiles on you.". With that, he placed the coin, heads side up on the head of the grave. He pushed back his hood, and knelt. Chance then touched his Tymorran Disk, prominently hung around his neck and uttered a few hushed words for Gorrin alone to hear.
