An objective study: After a year of research and travel, I can safely say there is a circle of about ten wizards among the Amia/Ruathym realm whom are considered by the record and means of Halruaan definition, to be high wizards. More may reside with or without a permanency, and many are well on their way to becoming archmages themselves: For the next year, I will watch closely these up and coming mages: An elven woman and former councilor involved in Illusion magic, a necromancer with a peculiar affluence for the bitter cold, a quiet diviner of uncertain extraplanar bloodline curiously involved in the relics of Netheril. Each of these whom have shown great stride in magic and its advance of knowing, but have not made the authority of their practices well versed. I would honor them in a years time, is my estimate projection. Though as for the current edition of prominent archwizards, whom are conveniently spaced, these wizards tend to work apart from one another and not often in the same capacity or paradigm of their own, and that makes their realm of operations, at least, drawn by boarders to the people that inhabit each sector. This ultimately has worked out for the best in terms of expanding magic needs throughout the land vastly, though the communication between such experts could and may be better on a strictly objective plane, as there are few checks and balances. But meanwhile such communications are inherently reclusive, and suspended in lapse due to disagreements, political dealings, lack of spare time, or simply forgetfulness. Yet each paradigm to his and her own field is quite interesting, and diverse, and I would extrapolate that the state of arcane appreciation of the Trackless Sea is of strong affluence, and well balanced, though morally challenged between wizard to wizard. It does not appear sensible or viable at this time that such an arcane institute would emerge with the given separation of expertise, but time will tell... Likewise, the noteworthy lack of authority on the schools of Transmutation, Evocation, Conjuration, and Abjuration definitively weaken the arcane availability and affluence of the island's magicians. I hope one day I can admit specialists in those fields to this abstract.

Lord Ulrik Valis: Of the school of Divination. Recognized for his charming and broad silver mustache, Ulrik Valis may be the strongest Mystran devotee I have recognized in the lands, often times, I think he is referred to as the foremost sage of Amia, and would respect that title. Once the Chancellor of Kohlingen, a theistic city with Cormyran influences, Ulrik has head something of a war against foul practitioners of magic and abusers of the weave as per a very Mystran outlook. A reluctant choice on his behalf, if I am to understand his history, but he tends to regard his position as a duty to the greater good. Before Kohlingen, I believe he was the headmaster of a proper school of the arcane, which was destroyed in tragic events. All tale aside, his magical aptitude cannot be contested. He currently is retired from public work and lives in his estate in Kohlingen.

Lucius Blackwater: Of the school of Necromancy. Lucius Blackwater, a necropolistic figure, quite pale and looking like walking death himself, has by his own account retained immortality through devotion to the art of Necromancy and the church of Velsharoon. Though the methods of his approach to magic may seem bastardly, Lucius' power is undisputed, a very educated and highly dedicated researcher. He oversees most all of Tarkuul's arcane affairs as the High Arcanist and heads the Magistrium Mortis, an arcane institute, as well he is the Keeper of Lore in Tarkuul and has manifested an impressive collection of local and external lore on all subjects. Lucius Blackwater rarely leaves Tarkuul and can be sought there. He is often willing to assist those looking to join the Magistrium Mortis, or need help with projects relating to the focus of Necromancy.

Duke Montgomery d'Cordor: Of the school of Chronomancy. Though never having met the former Duke of Cordor myself, Montgomery d'Cordor is retained by many through his reputation as The Chronomancer and his reputation as a fair man. Although living a very controversial life and regime as Cordor's founder, d'Cordor lived many years imprisoned by the dark magus Colin Reyes. It is said with the help of Lady Pain of Sigil, the city of Cordor was rebuilt by d'Cordor in a single day through the means of Chronomancy. Though the magic of Chronomancy itself remains a highly abused art form, many revere the Duke as the true leader of pre-Commonwealth Cordor, though that state is hardly transparent today. Since being freed from his prison which was held bound outside time and space, the Duke has taken a quiet life with his family in Kohlingen.

Mherun Xilphas: Much remains unknown and unseen of Xilphas' magic itself, or his school of thought, but there is strong suggestion of Necromancy and perhaps Divination. A gnarled figure, looking well past his lifespan, Xilphas is the reincarnation of himself many ages past. A form of ritual gave him life that is unsavory at best. There is claim that his life was returned to him years after the Fall of Netheril, and that he himself is a reborn Netherese as he had been in the first chapter of his life. Though in my interviews with Xilphas, I see a painstaking question of reason. When he speaks he speaks very much like our Halruaan ancestors, the Netherese. Much implication of which presents to be true that he is indeed a survivor of Netheril's fall. Xilphas has taken the position in his current life as the Speaker of Tarkuul, and acts as the island's primary caretaker. He resides there.

Aiseth Nosdivan: Of the school of Enchantment. A Halruaan by birthright, Aiseth Nosdivan is a master enchantress, and a devoted Azuthian, ever-expanding her enrichment through study and craft to forge new enchantment spells. She has served in four nations as an arcanist such as Kohlingen, Tarkuul, Cordor, and now in Wiltun as court wizard as a servant to those in need of arcane insights. Regarded as highly intelligent, and criticized to be untrustworthy by many politicians, there is great scorn on her behalf for acting as an arcanist without boarders. Her broad knowledge and use of arcane components has earned her suspicions of being labeled as a 'witch' in less developed areas. And she is known to invest a side interest in mirror magic as well as other pragmatic fields. She has since stopped outreaching to arcane communities unwilling to cooperate or correspond with one another, as a Halruaan City might have, and retains a position to assist the broad north areas of Ruathym and it shared ice-locked worlds with their magic needs. She lives in Wiltun.

Lady Le'Quella: Of the school of Wild Magic, though originally I think her more of a diviner, Le'Quella resides among the War Knights of Tempus. I know her to be a patriot toward her own kin, and tends to favor the assistance of elven seclusion and elven prosperity over the prosperity of arts themselves. A respectable commitment, as much of high elven magic tends to be proximate to their living forests. I have known her to be a very cautious and diligent wizard, who has earned a great respect among Winya and even outside its forest as the primary elven wizardress of the realm. A bit of an eccentric, La'Quella has her own line of fashion, a franchise of her family's name known as Le'Quella Fashion. She formally oversaw the wizard tower in Winya Ravana known as the Selu'taar, built over the people's library but has since abdecated from the elven home for personal reasons. She has found sanctuary among the brave Order of War Knights.

Ser Tuomas Valo: Another Kohlingen magician refugeed from Mystra's Monolith in its prime, gnome Tuomas Valo maintains rank and file among the Silver Dragons. His service in Kohlingen has sat well with the township for many years and mostly concerns himself with Arcane Research. Much of his work therefore lays in crafting and as a hobby, creating toys for children. But I have seen the unique edge of his own magic compared to other magicians, and much of where his expertise differs from a traditional specialist in the field is in the merit of celestial ties. Some of his more refined magic call in the assistance of moralistic based creations, drawing on his power of the virtues or creatures from Celestia to assist the prime. What he lacks in body, may be reconciled in heart... I consider him a dedicated gnome, whom is driven by the instinct to protect the world from broad harm, though his ideal and pursuit of the 'greatest good' has in the past confined his capability to logically assess danger in his environment.

Valerius Everguard: A former noble from Cormyr who is responsible for revitalizing Cordor's Special Task Unit and delving further into the art of Chaos Magic, which has earned him the title of "Chaos Mage" among his contemporaries. He also possesses an interest in Chronomancy. His career in Cordor was short-lived when he instead joined a wartime vigilante group known as The Flaming Phoenixes, whom he remains loyal to today. Valerius has a scamp-like fascination with the arts, leaning toward a carpe-diam pattern of study, a serial interest for when the time is right, which has offered him great success in wartime craft. However as a result, he is unpredictable and cautions very little in way of missions. As a tactical mage, he is quite resilient in his endeavors, with youthful excitement, and a stalwart 'hands-on' learner of the arcane. Though not yet an archmage, he is swiftly becoming a prodigy of the arcane world.

Rashad the Azure:Rashad the Azure remains one of the more versed travelers whom frequents this realm in the Trackless. His more familiar exploits are not so much in public service or expertise of a particular form of magic (Though a spellblade of noteworthy repertoire) but rather highlighted as a successful merchant. He has in the past taken pupils under his wing, although, for better or worse, his arcane prowess is kept humble and reclusive from other contemporary magi (sometimes considering himself not a true mage). As an extravagant supporter of mercantilism, he is often dressed in fine blue ethereal-colored silks and travels from town to town to visit various markets. There are very few objects or artifacts unknown to Rashad The Azure, as many rare bought and sold objects pass his hands on a weekly basis, and due to the knowledge of his merchant profession, he is considered an expert of material lore.

Corinn Aldaine: Corinn Aldaine was the former chancellor of Kohlingen and now retains her role as a studious arcanist of necromancy, potions, engineering, and other finesse. She grew up in Halruaa outside the capital in the heartlands and frequently returns to the home nation for visit. Upon arriving in Amia, she began as a simple craftsman of arcane goods, but quickly grew into positions of politics and high velocity projects. Most all have considered her a reliable and ethical arcanist more interested in the work and results than being hindered by the 'ways' of magic that inevitably caused fracture in the greater arcane community due to differences of approach. Her lack of judgment toward the arts and ability to work objectively in respects toward the science of magic, has made her one of the more popular wizards of our generation, here in the Trackless Sea.
