Early in the morning, a bloodied up Shade Illith'vir stumbles into the main entrance of the temple. Falling to his knees by the fountain, eyes heavy and head swinging. It's not long before he falls face first unconscious, an arm falling elbow deep in the water beside him. His last words muttered before he hits a slumber are "Mert." and "Rune."

Quite evidently on the back of his right shoulder, in his current attire, half of an infernal rune that seems like it was carved into him with a scorching of, jagged blade. It looks like it was done with in the hour, still emitting the fresh smell of burning flesh. An overly black smoke rising from it. Clearly it carries some magic. A curse perhaps. The surrounding veins and arteries look to run black for a few inches around it, spanning out in a circle, elevated to the surface of his skin.

The overly tall tiefling lies shivering, cold to the touch. Pale as snow, but this is nothing new... His bottom lip quivering with his short intense breathing. As though a serious fever took a hold of him.

An elven woman with dark hair came in a few minutes after to find him like this, flagging down a few salandrans who put him in a stretcher and take him to the recovery wing, where he lies until someone came to adress him. The elven lady stay sat with him, watching over him. Until she fell to sleep, that is.

Over time his condition seemed to stabilise, breathing and temperature too. The smoke and bleeding from the rune seem to dim too, until they finally cease the blackened veins taking normal colour and sinking back into him once more. He doesn't regain consciousness until something or someone would wake him.

// Since I don't want to sit AFK all day untill someone comes, I'll priority this if someone logs on to adress the matter. Hit me up in game. :) Same account name, caps lock varies though!

After hearing that a Tiefling was in the ward, a young priest dressed in the traditional red robes came running to check on him. With him he brought a book with papers stuffed in it. Seeing that the man is sleeping and stable, the priest sits and waits for the man to awaken.

Seemingly whilst Mert took his eyes from the bed, Shade had disappeared. Only to be carried back in a few hours later, unconscious again over the shoulder of his brother, whom looked identical other than scars and their attire.

This time Shades shivering had turned to shakes. Eyes open a few millimetres. The blackened veins seem to have spread, and the smoke slightly more intense.

Late in the night, a limp, unmoving Noirel Illith'vir get's carried into the main entrance of the temple. The man carrying him, leaves no name to whom he is, but is a knight of some sorts, baring the armor of a Helmite, Noirel's apperance, eyes open, occationally blinking and head swinging in a zombied state.

On the back of his right shoulder, the clothing on the shoulder has been ripped and seems to have exploded outwards exposing, half of an infernal rune that seems like it was carved into him with a scorching of, jagged blade. It looks like it has exploded, but the regenerative nature of his attire has healed it to it's carved state, it emitting the fresh smell of burning flesh. A faint black smoke rising from it. Clearly carrying some magic, as it glows white like a heartbeat. The surrounding veins and arteries look to run black for a few inches around it, spanning out in a circle, elevated to the surface of his skin.

The tall tiefling lies motionless, mouth slightly agape. Pale as snow is common, but he is paler then normal, with a dried tear-soaked face... His eyes stare eerily to the ceiling, his breathing, just barely. He looks as though his mind has broken, and Comatose, a Mental breakdown of some kind having taken a hold of him.

//I'll be off of Noirel as it gets boring being coma'd in the Recovery wing  , anyone wanting to RP and see over this, I'll priority coming on Noirel if someone wants to log on to tend to this matter. Send me a Tell IG, @ -Tel'Void- .

Few days, after being in a coma, Those who come to tend and look after the tiefling, would find that Noirel has vanished from his bed, as he had dragged himself out of the bed, a trail of blood would stop just short of the doorway before the trail stops. He appeared to have simply 'vanished into the shadows', reportedly grunting out words "protecting.." and "Endure.. It.."

*Looking exhausted and still wearing a bloodied apron Abernathy escorts a pair of orderlies pushing a trolley bed back to the recovery ward, on the table is woman heavily bandaged with her left arm missing from the shoulder down, as the orderlies gently lift the woman into a waiting bed the Salandran looks over to one of her other patients....an armoured man with silvery blood moving in and about his wounds who is currently sedated and bound to the bed....

with a weary sigh she decides to have him moved to the secure mental unit for the time being as he keeps wanting to rip his own face off.....she approaches the bed and asks the hooded man helping her keep watch on the patient if there has been any change or sound from the man.......they exchange some brief words before the two orderlies are tasked to move the man to the secure ward....as they wheel him away she quietly offers a prayer for him.

Once the man is secure and fifteen minute checks ordered on him, she wipes her brow on her sleeve and head outside for some air....

She sets up a little camp fire and starts brewing some tea as her companion takes a seat, they talk of this and that and she melts some butter in a frying pan and starts shredding some bacon into the sizzling butter and soon they are sharing steaming cups of tea and she is eating a large bacon sandwich.....

Sometime later some elf folk turn up and things get...interesting....

Certain well known kobold had quite the scene to check in, and apparently he has yet to come out. The rumors are rather dark on the topic.

At some point a hooded figure wearing a black coat visits the Salandran temple, delivering two letters to the templar guarding the mental ward - one is directed to his superiors as he sees fit, the other to a Salandran healer known as "Miss Meilea".

// PM'd to the appropriate personages.

Meilea, who hasn't been seen all too much at the temple for the past few days due to her constant working on the field, moves around the Temple one evening, checking patients and doing her best in working, even with the more harder cases. When approaced with the letter she looks it over with keen interest, before muttering, "Miss... stuff...".

After hearing about the disappearance of the Kobold she walks outside and looks up towards the sky, sighing softly.

I hope you are fine, wherever you went...

A certain Meilea has been rumoured to been found beside the Leyline Node of the Salandran Temple, unconcous and understandably incapable of speaking and sharing her tale. She was, as per the rumour, carried over to the Inner Sanctum to recover.

One deranged tiefling woman was escorted to the temple grounds by an elven man and two hin. Small confusion involving other visitors ensued. Later, the woman was taken into the temple's recovery wing and admitted into the mental ward by a Salandran priestess.

A male patient who had come back from death slowly during the night wakes up the next day and looks around the Temple, trying to figure out how he got there. He stops a nurse and asks the date and what happened.

He then groans and begins to leave in a hurry. He hastily gathers his equipment and dresses up into his tunic. He doesn't seem fully recovered, but his insistence in leaving is quite clear, shoving and pushing aside anyone trying to stop him.

"I must..get back..to my people!!"

He curses in Draconic as he moves, enduring the fatigue and pain.

He walks out into the gardens and then falls onto his knees against the ground in small pain and exhaustion. He brings out his portal wand and teleports away, the circle indicating a greater teleportation.

A man in his late twenties with brown hair is admitted to the temple urgently, taken in by orderlies and looked after by one of the temple residents.

Having suffered a heart attack from severe physical and mental stress, he's laid out in the recovery room after his body is brought under control and he doesn't appear to be at death's door any longer.

He would rest for far too short a time to heal himself properly and regain his strength. He would leave with purpose and a resolute look of determination in his eyes. Happen any of the staff advised him to continue resting, he would thank them but would say "it didn't matter".

He had the look on him of someone that was about to march into hell, and his determination couldn't hide the haunted look in his eyes, that he clearly knew he might very well not be coming back...

A heavenly young woman seems to appear more and more frequently at the Salandran Temple, sometimes disappearing into the recovery wing and others sitting with two familiar friends. When she unveils her usually hooded visage, one would take note of her beautifully angelic features; despite so, a scar marks the side of her face with a contemptuous hate as it appears to be in the shape of a scorching blade. A hand moves over it every once in a while as she speaks, coupled with noticeable wincing.

An odd occurrence today as a patient was brought in on a cart driver, victim was a halfling, unconscious dusted up, bruised, looking trampled, grazed almost all over and muddy to a fault. Unrecognisable until he was cleaned up. Once dropped off by an incredibly apologetic and worried human driver, the driver left claiming he'd never met the hin, but hit him in the Shekat Valley and wasn't about to leave him. The hin said no name on the account of being out cold.

*Abbey wanders the grounds and speaks with the Templar Guards and ground staff asking them to keep a special eye out for rats and other vermin, informing them that there have been several spotted in the Temple grounds.

One turned out to be a silly shifter making a costly error causing a great deal of supplies to be destroyed due to possible contamination, others have been the tame pets of adventurers, some of whom have been quite precious about their little fluffy being all ~that~ with all the arrogance and ignorance typical of the ~tough~ guy/girl.

*Abbey would also consult with the Temple Mother to ask permission to hang signs around the Temple boundary prohibiting bringing animals into the grounds or at least restricting which animals are permissible*

A new patient seemed to have emerged in the temple. It was a young looking elven female dressed entirely in white. Word is she had been involved in a ritual to purge the Quintessence plague from her body by the hands of the healers Evander and Abernathy. Rumour states that Vilraniel had been carrying the plague for as much as seventy-two tides and now suffered from massive blood-loss.

A letter would be addressed and delivered appropriately to the Temple Mother along with all the appropriate paperwork. It would be sealed and signed by a staff member on the cleric team. It reads as follows:

Temple Mother:

In the past few days Abernathy, Evander, and I have taken a very ill peasant under our care. His name is Trek Milinessen and upon his first examination I found a plethora of life-threatening diseases. It was a medical wonder how he was still alive, though we took care of him swiftly. He came only a day later to thank me but it seemed that he was still having trouble controlling his bowels and bodily fluids. To say the least, he has been a hassle to the guards and clerical team of the Temple, and I feel it my duty to inform you that he held me hostage and used a hand axe as a threatening weapon. He is indeed a danger to himself and others, and we have taken it upon ourselves to keep him in the mental health wing until further notice. I would request, however, that I be able to work with him personally. Upon attempting to contact his family, I received news back that they had passed away thirty years ago. He still believed they were alive, but I have since managed to convince him of the truth. He could significantly benefit from our further services, and I offer myself dutifully. If it isn't an inconvenience, I would like to continue to treat him and keep him in the ward for now. If it is simply not possible, I understand and will act accordingly by your will, Temple Mother. Sacred Lady's Blessings.

A man in Wiltun armor can occasionally be seen assisting the resident healers in dealing with their patients. Though his armor and the blank darksteel mask he wears make him a less than comforting presence to the injured, he seems to know what he's doing as he focuses his attention almost exclusively on those suffering from physical injury. Those who are ill or mentally deranged he seems to avoid, though whether this is due to fear of contagion, or just lack of ability dealing with such forms of healing, he does not say.

*A bloodied Abernathy limps off the ferry from Kampo's into the Temple grounds, she makes her way over to the recovery ward and speaks to the Templar on duty*

"I have just been attacked and nearly killed whilst attempting to revive Hallvardr after he lost a duel to some crazy northman called Frugdar, he is tall and blonde hair, often wears some sort of animal skin over his head....bear skin I think.
Also he talks like he should be an inpatient in our secure unit often referring to himself in the third person....should he be seen on Temple ground be good enough to escort him elsewhere unless he needs emergency medical aid. Even then I request he be bound securely as he has shown he can't or won't keep to agreements or any honourable conduct and has demonstrated he is in fact an extremely violent sociopath.

I will also like to speak to the Temple Mother when she has a moment"

*At this point she would limp into the recovery wing and begin to treat her wounds and try to gather her mental equilibrium after the vicious and unprovoked attack*

Noelle would arrive at the temple with a bag over her shoulder, asking those she saw if there was a patient named Madrik. If she was directed to him, she would offer him the bag she had prepared before she had a better understanding of how severe his condition was. She would attempt to carry on a brief conversation with him if he were up for it, of course if he was found sleeping she would simply leave the bag and pray he has a swift recovery from whatever it is that ails him.

Bruised and bloodied Sana lay with sharply raised wounds and broken bones, at her side constantly lay a large dog, to which in her waking hours she would stroke therapeutically. She would remain until she was able to stand and depart, sharing none of her experience with those curious souls who would think to inquire.

There was an eerie pounding sound one cleric thought to have heard against the stone marble of a coffin in the temple crypts for those bodies failed to be identified. In the morning after, only a fault line crack in the lid of one of the coffins revealed a possible grave robber may have pillaged the temple's crypts and had damaged the marble lid in their thievery, but from signs of punctures inside the coffin, as what would appear to be someone hitting the stone, it would appear as though a corpse had not rested. The coffin remains empty. Though the land is said to be hallowed, it is not unheard of that many staff on the grounds have collected ghost stories like these.

After a brief absence, the young nurse returns to the Temple for her daily rounds during the early morning and late night hours. Long days of vigorous hunting would wear the woman down visibly, but would never serve to deter her from her duties in Abbernathy's absence. Nurse Teuivae would disappear for only a short while before returning with a familiar face in hand; a doting little boy of about ten years of age, hopping alongside her as he made his way for daily lessons in the temple's instruction rooms. Tee would make regular rounds about the recovery wing and later move into the inner sanctum for prayer. The days grew more and more tiresome; however, the nurse would remain ever ardent.

Last night, older knight was barely able to enter the grounds of Salandran Temple. His armor was badly damaged and due to his movement it was not difficult to notice that he must be extremely wounded.

He was able to get near the main door, where he did fall unconscious. Later, after the investigation, it was easy to notice that both his hamstrings were cut, as if someone tried to cripple him in combat. Also, his left shoulder was dislocated, not to speak of many deep wounds, from which he did lost a lot of blood.

Whatever happened, knight is now within the temple walls, laying on one of the many beds, in ongoing unconsciousness...

Crow does some investigating, and goes to the Salandran Temple, asking about the woman brought in from the forest. If no name is given to him, he tries to get a description of the woman, and also any information on the green snake symbol that was reported. Crow leaves his name and Oakmist Vale as place of contact, along with a hefty donation.

The morning after the Amnish attack, an elf is checked into the Salandran Temple. He barely clings on to life. The poor man seems to have been blasted by some incredibly powerful magics. He is in a slightly unstable state, mumbling that his name is Tamus and that these wounds were suffered to a Cowled Wizard. Right before passing out, Tamus mentions the number 29.

Several hours after the destruction in Cordor two females carried the body of Richard Johnson into the temple. He was dressed in a fairly nice suit, and left to be given final rites and prepared for burial. The female that never removed her cowl only spoke twice; once to ask where they should place him - as a reminder to the other that they were still standing there holding the corpse while she discussed funeral arrangements, and the other after she carefully laid her portion of the burden on the mat.

Iim murmured a single word, that would have been inaudible to any except the woman by her side. Those that knew her would have recognized the cadence as an affectionate greeting and salutation she had often offered the man. "Terrorist".

An unconscious elven man opens his one eye that is not wrapped up as he comes to. He looks around through his long blonde hair to see where he is. Laying in a bed in some sort of infirmary he realized this is not at all where he was before. Not sure what exactly happen he looks over his body. Leaning up slightly in a wince of pain he notices he is rather overly wrapped up in bandages.

He runs his hand over his abdomen which has wrappings going right around it and off to one shoulder. He thinks to himself a moment trying to remember. But can only manage a few words.

“What in Seldarine happened…”

He then places a hand to his left eye that is wrapped. Clearly it was wounded. He thinks to himself “Damn” knowing full well this will hinder his sight and his own reflexes. He then looks around at a few other patients around. It is clear he was not the only one hit by surprise here. Either way the man clearly realizes he is going to need some time to recover after it all. He goes to get up only to be stopped temporarily.

Seeing to any of his needs he is filled in that he was found among some rubble in Cordor. Then it came to him. He was in his rented house in the South fletching arrows and crossbow bolts when something crashed down. Then it came to him that something must have happened. Getting up he walked off to make sure his kin were alright though he used a crutch left for him to help him move. He left his shirt off as it could not be found on the bed. Somewhere, someone had answered he needed to know. The main one though he had to know….

“Are my kin safe?”

Not long after the body arrives a familiar sight to those of the Temple follows. A helmed half elf wearing a cloak of Tymora trimmed in Wiltun green arrives and demands to see the body. She further more would ask that a cleric of Salandra try and raise the man. She would stubbornly wait until there was a free cleric, not getting in their way but also not leaving.

While waiting, if allowed to see the body, she would take the opportunity to look it over for the possible cause of death or anything out of the ordinary. Wearing a helmet, her expression would be hidden, however her body language was rather tense and her movements sharp.

Not speaking any more than necessary to convey her requests she kept one hand wrapped around her belt tightly while the other toyed with a ring on her finger, a ring of Tymora for any who could get close enough to see.

She seemed wiling to wait as long as it took to see her requests through.

She would be informed that attempts at raising have failed. As for the body itself, no cause of death is immediately apparent. Richard's form appearing unbroken beneath the white linen burial shroud.

Having spent a good amount of time in recovery, Tamus leaves the temple. He looks quite well physically.

No one ever said their work was easy, or pretty...or glorious...

Amelia Warmglow a young woman who has quickly soared through the ranks of the physicians caste and earned herself a "Master" level degree among the elite of medical providers has become a prominent site among the temple, especially among critical cases and incidents.

One of her most prominent patients has been one of the kobolds recent reported to have checked in, sadly one that as yet to check out and has been under her care for quite some time. She freely discusses his condition with the temple staff, but anyone else who asks about his condition gets nothing but a warm smile and a simple "He is in good hands here at the temple".

If one could say anything about the very young woman and her methods, that one thing might be "Cutting Edge" and no not the edge of a scalpel or amputating device. She frequently operates with a strange rig on her face that is part surgical mask, part pair of spectacles designed to help amplify her vision when worn allowing her better view of the field infront of her. She also has taken several technologies on the island and adapted them useful creative ways for her practice. She has had some great success using metal studded gloves that conduct electricity to "shock" an unconscious patient, jump starting their heart back into gear.

She is always on the go, always here....always there but no matter what she's never to busy to stop and spread Salandras gift to those who seek it, she's always willing to share and promote the gift of life no matter how minor or serious the case.

Nurse Tee hovered over the bedside of a lost soul, preparing the body for a burial. The young woman tried to ease and calm her nerves, taking a deep breath every other moment as she raked and combed over the limp form of a former friend. She closed her eyes and signed a blessing over the woman, assuring her a safe passage to the afterlife as best she could.

After an hour or so the preparations were finally complete. She casted a strength spell over herself before lifting the body from the bed, treading carefully to the outer grounds of the temple. There she met with a familiar tiefling, who took the body into his own hands and proceeded to follow the nurse into the Benwick Hollow graveyard. The grave was already prepared when they arrived and they wasted no time in laying the body to rest. Teuivae gathered some flowers and rested them upon the woman's silent chest, handing the rest to the tiefling who stood close at her side. She bowed her head in prayer, calling upon the divine powers of the Broken God and the Sacred Lady to ensure the woman her arrival to her own eternal kingdom.

Shade took a moment to say his piece, short and sweet, before tossing the flowers in. The two picked up shovels without word and began to seal the grave before resuming their position at each other's side. It wasn't long before Nurse Tee lead him away from the graveyard, never daring to loosen the grip on his hand.

Once she returned to the temple the next morning, she completed the necessary paperwork concerning an official tombstone and submitted it to whomever it concerned.

"May the tombstone be engraved with the following.

'Here lies Llyn Illith'vir
Beloved Sister and Friend
May she be at ease in the eternal slumber that she deserves.'

My Best Regards,
Nurse Teuivae"

A bed found an owner.
A door cried loudly; it was damaged.
Footsteps and footprints.

The word was spread, and it spread even faster with time; the bard was taken away, and now he was back, or was he back and taken away? The rumors were confusing at very least, mixed rhythms of news overlapping in the chronology.
For the valiant adventurer that dare walk into the recovery wing, the answer would become obvious, if certain winged creature that has been looming over the buildings doesn't make it obvious himself.

The new Salandran-in-training Jovianne spends the majority of her week helping the temple with what little ability she has, mostly, fetching supplies and instruments for the more experienced as she watches. She provides a familiar face hovering in the background, performing small errands and favors for patients that other healers might be too busy for, singing a song for them, opening a window, even penning and delivering letters...

On the days she feels she is getting in the way, she heads back to Cordor to offer her healing services to whatever adventurer may need it.

A very angry water genasi is brought in by Andrew Fryar and a small group of Cordorian guards... She is lashing out at anything close with her shark-like teeth, and after calming down a moment, and promised a tub of water to sleep in, the girl is locked into a cell in the mental ward, for being a danger to herself and to others. Most hours of the day, from beyond the door, is crying, screaming, and what sounds like powerful tsunamis as she seems to wail for her own death.

Nurse Teuivae would most likely stop into the mental ward during her shifts in order to discover the source of such a noise within the chambers. Should the water genasi in question have needed anything in particular, the nurse would try her best to provide it alongside the mandatory meals and drink correlating to her days held within the mental ward.

The large creature stumbled upon two adventurers in the Lowland Swamps, whom fled before words could be properly exchanged. Finding fallen Enslaved Kobolds in his route, he did a quick patrol. Finding no less than three Troglodyte Taskmasters and their herds. Dispatching them and making his way to the nearest portaling lens, the black scaled behemoth hauled all the wounded and injured slaves he could to the Salandran temple, as per requests of him from another.

Weeks turn into months as the cell in the mental ward turns from hateful screaming to heartfelt sobbing. The being within seems to speak to herself, or to people who aren't there. As nurses come and go, she doesn't seem to notice, and she no longer dances with the shadows when the door opens.. she merely sits in a tub of water, crying of lonliness, day and night.

Two Aasimar, twin sisters, in fact, have been seen with greater and greater regularity on the grounds of the temple. One, wearing the easily recognizable armor of a Hospitaler, the other in simple Salandran robes. They both have been providing healing to those who require it, and the smaller of the two, a physician, has been providing packs of medicinal herbs and cotton to all who require them, asking nothing more than a future act of kindness to another, in return.

A certain blonde carried a wasted-looking body, garbed in tattered blue rags and a bedding wrap, into the recovery ward of the temple. She asked after a woman named Emily Sade by name, but otherwise stayed by his bed and let whoever was most inclined or deemed suitable to look at him and take care of him. She stayed by his bed for hours, and made sure he got settled, hoping beyond hope that she might be there when he awoke... and if not, leaving a note for him to read when he did. If he did.

The Temple grounds are frequented by a ranger of Oakmist Vale, who first makes his way to the Recovery Ward, and checks an office. He makes an inquiry or two if the office is vacant, and heads back outside. Out on the grounds, Crow would offer to help with crates to load or unload, or just wander the grounds for a while, often sitting by the water in a little alcove, before heading back out to parts unknown.
