Late the last day, a large influx of new patients came to the Temple, awaiting treatments. There are around a hundred of them present, mostly humans, but a fair number of goblins and kobolds are present as well.
All of them seem to have been tortured, malnourished, and drained repeatedly over the course of months or perhaps years. Many of them barely clinging to life. They also have a multitude of mental problems as well, likely stemming from trauma due to said torture, malnourishment, and repeated draining.
The temple struggles to provide for the massive influx of new patients, and many have to be detained in the mental health ward due to violent tendencies. There have already been a few scrapes among the patients, but temple security has managed to make sure none of them die. Yet. However the situation remains only barely under control and could get worse at any moment.
Curiously, all of the new patients have a blood red, upwards spiralling mark on their foreheads...

After speaking to one of the Salandran Priests she knows, Aly sends a letter to the temple.
Honoured Temple Mother;
I have been alerted by Mert Amraphrensen that there was an onslaught of new injured people, brought in both from Cordor and possibly from the attacks in Bendir.
If the temple needs anything at all by way of supplies or interim healers that the Shrine of Eilistraee can provide, we beg you let us know. We have both, and plenty of skilled, willing hands.
Sincerely, and with all the Maiden's blessings Aly'dra Zau'ana

A certain raven haired half elf has taken to dropping by the Temple, usually only once a day. She seems to not have any healing skills herself but more so seems to be checking up on the new patients. If she can find a healer who isn't busy to ask about how they're faring, she does. But if not she simply observes quietly for a few moments before going on her way again, as to not interrupt or slow down their work or get in the way.

A man who introduces himself as Harold, accompanied by a kobold, asks the guard outside the recovery wing for details on the wounded and what the healers need the most to treat those poor people. Harold looks worried and expresses his desire to help and if needed ask for help in Kohlingen to assist these poor people.
He promises to be back tomorrow at the latest and hopes to meet someone then who can tell him more. He leaves then by boat after handing over a few bottles of medication he claims are from Vala. Word could also be send to the academy in Kohlingen since time might be of the essence.

A blonde woman of elven appearance speaks with some adventurers outside the Temple and is told of the hundred or so people inside the Temple as she makes her rounds collecting herbs. She goes inside, and offers her help to the wounded, seeking out the severely injured, and offering prayer, words of inspiration, and healing, both magical and mundane. For some, she merely offers a consoling word, for others, strong healing magic. She speaks briefly with a man named Mert, a self admitted novice healer. After a while of aiding the patients, she goes on about her business, hoping the healers of the Temple have things well in hand.

Basin a senior priest at the temple is seen darting around between patients, tending to as many people as possible as well as maintaining order within the crowded recovery wing and other areas.
In a brief moment of silence he writes and sends letters out to the various cities, members of the Shrine, Grove and churches of Illmater and Lathander calling for assistance in healers and resources. One would also assume the patients are being treated in the main church area and emergency beds have been placed everywhere so every person has a place to lay their head.

Aly can be found coming to aid with the wounded, as often as her family life will allow. She seems in devoutly good spirits and insists on helping as much as she can, having a fairly decent (skill check: 36) knowledge of mundane healing. She also brings sweets, for the people well enough to have them, candy and cookies, knowing that nothing helps one heal like a little sugar.

A letter is returned to Aly'dra, though not from the temple mother. It seems someone else answered in her stead, it reads as follows:
Aly'dra Zau'ana,
Any aid you can provide would be appreciated. That said, our latest patients are not expressly injured or at risk of dying from injuries. You might be familiar with how captive prisoners are treated in the Underdark, and these patients have been treated in a similar, or possibly worse fashion, as they appear to have been regularly drained of blood. They're all dealing with the physical and mental trauma of such treatment, but are not at risk of dying outright. They are also prone to violent outbursts.
Still, there are a lot to cover and we're understaffed and undersupplied as is. Particularly, if you or any others of the shrine are more experienced in dealing with goblin and kobold patients, as there are a multitude of them, it would be greatly appreciated. Currently we've had some incidents where they've bitten or clawed our nurses in violent outbursts.
May Tenet and Faith keep you,
Dr. Illhran Squidlow
Those at the temple would indeed, find them overflowing with patients, the worst of which were forced to be detained in the mental health ward. Many of them look weak, suffering from weeks, months, or perhaps years of neglect and physical abuse. There's 90 total new patients,
10 Goblins 15 Kobolds 50 Humans 7 Half-Elves 4 Halflings 2 Dwarf 2 Elves
The human patients fare the best of the group, but are still very bad off. By in large they are too traumatized to even hold a coherent conversation. Violent outbursts are quite common. Physically traumatized as well from malnourishment and neglect, they're still able to cause some injuries to attending nurses. More conventional injuries do occur however, stemming from said violent outbursts.
The temple seems understaffed at dealing with the sheer magnitude of patients within the temple...

Aly, for her part, seems to try to keep to the goblins and kobolds; she seems to view the violence as a necessary price to pay, and is more willing to pay it to keep the staff safe. Any who come from the Shrine are asked to remain with her and aid the smaller creatures, as best they can.
The letter itself is tacked up inside the Shrine proper.

At the temple of Corellon in Winya Ravana, Kaithan spends a day preparing the guest chamber near the fountain of Sehanine as a temporary infirmary, arranging nine cots and laying in healing supplies and a larder of food purchased from local and Dale vendors. Advising the temple staff that several patients are likely to be incoming shortly, she then sets off to the temple of Salandra with purposeful stride, hopeful that a bit of their overcrowding can be relieved.

A man who had come from Cordor, though not as a patient, but as a volunteer healer. Despite his bloodied appearance, rough demeanor and the large sword on his back, he prooves to be quite a reasonably skilled healer. ((32 heal)) He brings numerous bandages, and healing kits, asking wherever they are needed.
The man doesn't take time to rest, despite looking as if he hasn't slept for days. If asked, he'll state his name is Kelvan de'Lyons.

The Salandran Counter Undead Operations are ordered back to general duties by the Temple Mother at the unexpected mass casualty, providing additional security to the Temple.
Their armour still bares the damage from their previous deployment, lacking the pristine silver shine that separates them from their fellow Templars. The S.U.C.O members seem to take pride in such and take no nonsense in their duties.

Late one day, one of the elf patients and all of the half-elven patents are moved to Winya. This helps to ease the burden on the temple some.
The extra helping hands help to keep things somewhat under control, though things still remain on tense around there... progress with the patients' conditions is slow...

*Harold visits the temple again, this time he leaves a note for the temple mother after offering his assistance again in ading the wounded before he heads back he came, to Kohlingen*
Esteemed temple mother,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. My name is Harold Kendry, an illusionist living in Kohlingen. I am writing you because the story of the wounded needing assistance in your care struck me and thus I offered my assistance half a tenday ago at your temple. I havent had a response yet but I am eager to assist any way I can.
Being a wizard I can assist with determining if any magic is involved in these people's afflictions, I also had training in administering aid to wounded, mostly how to dress a wound while minimizing the risk of infection.
If you have any need for certain supplies or assistance to help these poor people please let me know so I can spread the word of your need in Kohlingen in addition to assisting you myself.
Ladies blessing on you.
Harold Kendry *The signature is in the same handwriting as the letter but a bit more effort has been put in it, its rather flourishing.*

A no longer young novice visits them in the night after she resupplied some of the temple's herbal and potion stocks. She gives them a rather quick look-over to see if they are well and makes sure they have the necessary supplies to take care of their injury after they might be dismissed, perhaps sooner than they should in her opinion. But with the temple at its limits, it is only understandable. She makes a mental note of Laiath's condition as he might require follow up treatment. She soon after heads to the chapel for a last prayer before bunking down.

This morning Kard awoke looking over to where Laiath was, seeing Laiath gone he sat up and got his robes on, he woke Hallothel who fell asleep next to him. He pushed off the bed with a bit of a struggle and a slight groan, he finds his feet fine before too long though, unfortunately it was clear he wouldn't be tracking the island in his usual speed for a while. This thought seemed to kill him, even as he wandered over to his bag, he felt physically unable. Staggering like an elderly man. Though he was clearly in much less pain than the day before. He took a staff from his backpack using it to assist his walking, with Hallothel a his side they made their way out, giving his appreciation to any and all Salandran clerics he'd see on his way out.

Late in the yesterday a dwarven councillor from Barak Runedar arrived at the temple seeking the Temple Mother, he is shown into the main temple and both pestered by what appears to be an old hag. He asks after the two dwarven patients that were admitted and whether he could speak with them.

A novice of the Temple leaves a note for her Sisters and Mother. Note wrote: Dear Mother,
Minister Xaviera of Cordor has told me they are in shortage of food, shelter and healing supplies for their many wounded. I know we are stretched as we are with the many patients still, but I hope and pray plans to provide aid are being made. A ship to Cordor with healing supplies could help the healers there and take their worst wounded to the Temple. The victims of the fires and the collapses requires our attention the most.

In the evening, a messenger hurriedly delivers a hastily written letter to the temple of Salandra. It seems to be a report of some sort, along with a hastily written note of one "Lieutenant Aurelius of the Commonwealth Scouts", and requests - or perhaps more accurately begs - the temple to send a "specialist on disease" to the Delta for an examination and report at the earliest opportunity.

A very, very dirty and bloody Darby stumbles to the Salandrans, carrying, mostly, a rather injured Richard. He seems to be in very very poor shape, even worse than her and has only a coat half haphazardly thrown on him. She stumbles to the Recovery ward and stubbornly attempts to carry him all the way to a bed unless he's forcefully (not that it takes much force) taken from her by a healer or templar.
Once she either gets him in a bed and he's being looked at, or he's taken away to be looked out the half elf promptly collapses on the nearest bed herself, looking to be completely exhausted and very sore.

A somewhat battered elven figure clad in black and burgundy armour appears at the Recovery Wing shortly afterwards. He checks in on Richard and then attends to Darby, speaking with her for a short while, and keeping watch whenever his two allies are at rest. He spends some time writing a letter and, as usual, generally keeps to himself.

Word reaches the nearby Shrine of Eilistraee.
A letter is hastily penned, the young priestess hoping the High Priestess will forgive her not waiting.
Honoured Temple Mother;
We of the Shrine of Eilistraee have heard of your plight regarding Hashim Hoios. We would ask for information, that we might know what has happened fully, and offer any aid that might be needed to return your guests to the living and heal their wounds, as well as offer ministration to their souls, if such is allowed and desired.
In this trying time please remember that we remain devoted to the cause of aiding the wounded and injured regardless of their social standing, as our Maiden orders us to aid all, weak, strong, grateful or churlish alike.
Sincerely, Aly'dra Zau'ana Dark Lady of Eilistraee

Learning of the commotion, Velden might be observed asking around the staff at the temple about what was known of the guests killed. He may or may not be seen muttering to himself, something to the effect of "Broke the rules. You just don't do that, not here..."
While he hardly seems to be in great condition himself, he doesn't seem to seek out any help from the Salandrans upon himself. He almost collapses on his way out after the first night, but continued on his way. On his return, and learning that Richard hasn't yet woken up... he begins to stop by the recovery wing more often, spending hours at a time there. He is thoroughly withdrawn and moody, when engaged in conversation.

A response is sent to the Shrine of Eilistraee, though not without some significant delay. It also seems like it got deferred as well. It reads as follows,
Aly'dra Zau'ana, Dark lady of Eilistraee,
Rest assured, those harmed on our grounds were tended to to the best of our abilities, though sadly one of ours did not answer the call. He has already been interred.
As for what had happened, there was a confrontation between Hashim, and two guests Ulrik Valis and Sir Robert. I would advise asking them for a more complete story of what happened.
It was decided that he is not to enter temple grounds unless in need of aid.
Any aid is of course, much appreciated.
Tenet and Faith, Illhran Squidlow
The staff which aren't in too bad of a shock are willing to tell Velden that the victims were Ulrik, Sir Robert, and a Templar. Ulrik and Robert were discharged, while the Templar was buried.

Some people might notice a rather pale looking elf skulking about the corridors of the Temple of late. Rarely stepping outside during the day, she largely kept to herself and had acquired some clothing and a cloak she did not arrive in which were constantly kept around her. During the eve or night, she could be seen prowling the grounds, before returning to the watchful eyes of the sisters, inside, as day broke.

A dark clothed bard seems to appear in the temple as well, looking for one specific patient.

Crow stops in to the Temple, inquiring about a pale elf. He brings her a walking stick, and some food from Winya Ravana.

A new body can be seen around the temple grounds. The black, blue and silver clothes and unique jeweled choker of House Avadon mark her as Lady Darby. However, she always has a hood up, pulled low down almost to, and sometimes, covering her eyes.
She appears to be in good health so why she lingers there is uncertain. She seems to avoid most people, unless she knows them, often just rocking on her heels and watching the water. She often rubs at her forehead under her hood or tugs on her hood to make sure it stays in place.
All in all she's generally quiet and keeps to herself, a slight frown on her lips.

A rather limp and weak looking half elf is carried to the Recovery Ward after tumbling out of a portal. This being a healing grounds, having someone being carried is probably not too uncommon. However, the one carrying this half elf is oddly covered in a Shadowshield spell for whatever reason. She also appears to have her hands tied to a walking stick, which the one carrying her cuts her free from once she's in a bed. Wearing a different, brighter colored dress, but still her jeweled choker and hood she's easily identifiable as Lady Darby. She remains in the bed she was placed in, rather still.

A certain two hundred pound black mastiff is usually at the Temple these days, keeping watch over a certain patient. A patient she never wags her tail for.

Yossarin also visits with some frequency, as well, to give thanks to those professionals who tended to his physical and emotional needs during his recovery. But more importantly, to give meaty treats to the mastiff and tell her, "Good girl, that's a good girl."

Once more a certain raven haired half elf is returned to the grounds, being carried in to her usual bed. This time, the front of her clothes are covered in blood, as is the poor female drow who carried her in but no other immediate signs of damage are visible. However, it shortly becomes apparent something happened if checked on later, as she basically appears to look like one giant bruise, some spots looking slightly less horrible than the rest.

Late in the evening, emerging from somewhere on the grounds near the woods, Crow approaches the Recovery Ward, from the north. He carries a small crate filled with jars of live leeches, and turns them over to the sister on duty, mentioning Darby's request.

A group of five found their way into the Salandrans today. Two wounded, one looks to have been caught in a hellfire or something, covered in high degree burns and charred flesh, carried by a dark clad horned man. A black dressed kobold, limping along on the support of a halfling with blonde hair, dressed in green. Followed by another, dark dressed person, male human. They made their way into the mental ward, into the anti-magic chamber, from there. Most attention was turned to the charred corpse.

Once seen by Malin, the group all departed in their own sets. Two stayed over night, the horned man in black garb, and the one he carried in remained through the night in the anti-magic cell, in silence, door wide open, the female made not a single move. The male, on the other hand, was almost always looking around. Until sunrise when he escorted her outside and let her leave with a hooded man, who greeted them as friends.

A -very- angry winged kobold is seen with a bloodied up dark scaled kobold over his shoulders entering the recovery wing. Soon after another bed finds a new companion, and by default so does the chair by the side.
