In the usual ordeal the house mage of Lolarox, Ulviir, posts a letter upon the board - It's directed to the captain of the Spider bearer.

Quote:

Captain!

I require your ship and crew in order to acquire more Faezress for the research we are conducting on behalf of the city.
The idea is to sail closer to the edge of the cavern dome, to the shoreline of the cavern-walls and anchor there and somehow mine/harvest as much as the ship can carry.

How does this sound? Do you have any suggestions?

*you happen to wander in on the captain reading the letter. Upon seeing you, he inclines his head deeply out of respect before responding.*

"Apologies honored brother, the vessel was making a run. I am not certain we could hold position for as long as you intend. However, in my travels as a youth, I did hear of marvelous boots that imbue the wearer with the power to scale walls as though the wearer them self was a Spider. It may be worthy of investigation as getting close to the wall is not the issue, but staying stationary against the current is."

The House mage responds kindly in return after preforming a bow towards the captain; returning the respect.

"Can you remember if Edonil was built underneath any Faezress, or if there's somewhere along the black waterways where we can dock and cut from the walls?
I remember the faezress glowing for quite a long way when we sailed upstreams; It was only when we entered that empty void of the underwater ocean or lake that we lost sight of it ...

There must be somewhere we can throw anchor or land and harvest a few blocks of irridated ore or stone ?

"Apologies once again, but I am not a Faern. I imagine if there had been Faerzress above Edonil, we would have seen it clearly as we do here. Otherwise, holding position on the Black Waterway is extremely difficult. We need to match the speed of the current exactly and we risk losing one of the ships wheels if we buffet too strongly into a wall. I have no doubt that there are means within this cavern to obtain what you seek, I am just not certain that any of them directly include the top deck of the ship."

"Hmmm .. what about the sea floor around nec'Pereya? Do you think there's some there? A few irradiated stalagmites or stalagtites must have fallen down: Or just loose rocks from the ceiling?
i haven't seen any on the island so i have just assumed there hadn't been any drops..."
