*reports come in of news about a young Cordorian Guard being murdered late this morning. It wasn't until later that day his body was discovered however by a passing adventurer. Reports go on to say how the guard was killed by some strange way as he show no signs of physical violence on him. A single coin was pressed to the guard's forehead indicating that it was some debt collector as they sometimes use that as a symbol to those that don't pay their debts. Only suspect they have that is still at large is best describes as a sickly old male dressed in grey robes and carrying a staff. Law Knights have offered a reward to the capture of the one responsible for the murder in question.*

As the news reaches the ears of the former Cordorian Lieutenant of the now disbanded Special Tasks Unit he makes his pr essence known in Cordor. He greets members of the guard he's familiar with and speaks freely with Law Knights if he can catch them in passing or at their posts. The large winged male even goes so far to stop by the Jail. He asks them about what happened and tries to question them for the gossip on what's happened. He asks if the gentleman in question has had any un paid debts and seeks any sort of speculation in this matter. He queries if he had a family or friend and seeks to learn about what a day in his life would have been like. Where he goes where he likes to have lunch and where he liked to spend his free time with and who. He collects any information from the Law Knights about this wanted individual and queries what was done with the lad's corpse. He Queries where the corpse was found. He inquires if the young Guard had an autopsy preformed and where his body may have been moved or if it had been laid to rest.

He makes certain to stop by the Long and Short, The Nomad, and The Rusty Hoe Tap-house to chat up the Bartenders asking questions about any folks that may match the description of the wanted individual or any friends of the deceased. He often asks for peoples opinions on the man. He often brings the topic in question up and about as in 'Did you hear about the Murder?'

He makes certain to visit the Hospice, the Illmateri Temple, the temple of Love, The Lathanderan Temple, and the Market hall to query the workers there for any visuals on this wanted individual perhaps thinking he may have sought treatment. Matthew even Checks the semi Temple of Hoar in Central Cordor and checks in with residents and other folks who've come and gone.

His search is quite extensive as he speaks with ship captain and even the ATC chatting up about the local gossip. He takes his time and sorts through this and that and makes his adjustment and calculations as if each and every statement or opinion is part of a puzzle; a search for the truth. His quest to learn all he can even takes him so far as the sewers, where he speaks with the Wardens below.

Even as Matthew is ell aware and knows his standing in the west is tenuous and odd to say the least. He's never certain how the people of west view him as he's always been that individual whom sought to be fair and kind always seeking to aid others and hold true to the sentiments of Lathander. He Speaks with various volunteers in the Illmatari Temple That he's served with and speaks to the ladies in the Gentleman's club. It's a rare chance for him as his travels have lead him away from the city but he continues his own personal tradition of greeting the ladies in the Gentleman's club by bringing them all fresh cut flowers and small toys for their children.

Although effectively the young Squire of Kohlingen is a Knight Errant he does not wear a Kohlingen uniform whilst with in the city. He wears old reforged Armour from Cormyr markedly originally made prior to the Goblin Wars. He decidedly stays in the Rusty Hoe Tap house during the coarse of these past few days as he conducts his research in to the matter.

It seems as a former protector of the City Matthew has taken a some what more personal interest with in this matter. He takes to this task with the same fervor of of the times he'd aided the Oghmite Community in attempting to bring back lost Explorers, when hehelped save their Wet's Governor From Dread Pirates, When he delivered Joey in to the custody of West to face the people's Justice, And even when he saw to the execution of Mover.
