Over the last few weeks the murmurs of giant flying beasts kidnapping children began to circulate the isle. At first the rumors were assumed to be tales used by parents to terrify their children into obedience. The reports though told another story.
“Tiger” Lilly prone to wandering around and getting herself into mischief mysteriously has not been heard from in the last few ten days, at first many assumed she was out adventuring and would return in time. Though the circulating rumors of kidnapping spread doubt.
A classroom of the seven stars academy had an odd number of students failing to attend class. Disappearances are, sadly, a reality of life but when four children disappear with in a tenday of each other a report immediately finds its way circulating up to Kohlingen leadership. Two days before the sudden mass disappearance a pair of bodies of a couple was found split nearly in two by the hefty blade of what investigators conclude was a greataxe. Their bodies and belongings remained untouched near the hills near the beastmen. Later it was discovered they had a teenager who could not be located and it is concluded she was dragged away and killed.
The Cordorian leadership would receive an influx of reports of missing children, and raided farm houses. Guard patrols would report signs of struggle at scenes of raided houses. Every house entry was caved in by the hefty blow of a greataxe.
As these alarming disappearances begin to pile up a sudden swarm of ravens appeared up and out of the Mylock hills. Each raven seemed to split off into pairs or trios and headed off in one direction or another. A set of letter tied around the leg of each as they landed at their respective locations, cawing repeatedly till someone approached. The keep of Kohligen, the tavern of the Dale, and the Cordorian city hall all were greeted with the cawing of ravens that day.
Half a dozen letters were tied to each bird.
“Vosor of the Myart civilization demands the audience of the leadership of the “Defenders” organization of Kohlingen for the immediate return of ransacked items of cultural significance. The audience of the Duke of Cordor and the Mayor of the Dale are also demanded. The once free Myartian race wishes to prosper and sing once more and the growing threat of the Hopeless grows near. With in the tenday a fortification will be set up in the Mylock Hills to host this exchange. One leader and one attendant will be allowed admittance. The damned of Aurichon shall earn their freedom.”

Though it seems Wharftown is fortunate in being left unmolested, the stern Lieutenant Everguard has the ballistae of the city and docked warships turned skyward after hearing of the disappearances. The gunners and battlemages of Wharftown are instructed to immediately destroy anything larger than a songbird, and he disappears into his workshop to tinker up some grape-shot style ammunition for the siege engines. The youngsters of the berg are given small pieces of jewelry that will allow the artificer to discern their location should they turn up missing at any point, and makes sure to take a small lock of hair from each as well. Unfamiliar visitors are watched carefully.

The lord knight begins to move around the city, talking with the families along with Tim. Seeing the reports on the flying beasts, countering measures are being made for aerial attacks. Later as he received the letters from the raven, he can be seen walking to the northernmost end of the greengarden district.

Primarily, he is seen with his bow in his hand rather than on his back, more than holding his swords. Just like with Vale's orders, if he spots anything larger than a song bird, or specifically anything appearing large enough to actually perform such abductions, he shoots to kill.

A particular Celestial would have been seen taking a few of these notices in hand. And even retrieving a few from dead birds his Owl had brought him.
He takes such and pins them to the notice boards with in the Barraks of the Guard house. He gives orders that the reports be filed and that the names, ages, gender of each missing person be recorded and grouped in such manners. He also requests map pins be added to where they were abducted from. He seeks out families with in the day light hours just after the dawn and questions them for any further sightings or description on this flying beast.
Upon hearing of the reports Matthew Orders that guard presence be increased with in the evening. He takes to the skies in his own patrols eyeing over the city with the added enchantment of true seeing as he watches over from above, and invisibility from a ring. He dresses light for his patrols favoring speed as he also watches the very skies he takes to.

After seeing the notices, Hesh would request from the Minister of Law an increased presence of Mage Guard (Those specialized in Evocation) and Archers to be place on the high walls and the battlements around North District. He would also patrol the skies in Blue Wyrmling form. If seeing any of the creatures he would attempt to draw them into the firing range of the guard force while blasting the creatures with lighting bolts.

Upon reading the note, Ally finds the Mayor and Rosary, and with some small exchange, sets out to the Mylock Hills to investigate. Only those with superior vision would be able to see her as she left the Dale. Afterward, she can be seen entering Cordor and heading straight to the library.

Outside the mining encampment, just inside the Mylock hills, a large sign appears with large black letters.
"Meeting of the Myart people and the representatives shall commence in three days."
// Friday 6-7 pm EST start time.

// A small note appears on the most recent message. The text is crude, but legible.
Kidnapping is not honorable. Using children, is not honorable.
Dunbak, Tempurain, friend of War Knights, Black of Red and Black, WILL assist you.
Strength and honor.
// There is a large paw print below the note.

In the blue skies academy during Matthew takes in to consideration those in his class often sketching images of his students during the quieter times. He makes an effort to speak with the parents of his students to offers reassurance and advice concerning the situation at hand giving them safety tips. Outside of class he seems to patrol the isle and in the night his vigil takes to the skies. During this time Matthew seems to keep track of just how much time is spent where. He's cautious of his own small ones and tends to keep them in doors for the time.
He would be seen paying frequent visits in Kholingen.

Much to the manner he had taken to his patrol of the skies Matthew has take to the Mylock hills with Invisibility and enhancements to his eyes. He takes note from the skies of the areas and their location in comparison to the three cities before venturing to Kholingen... He then head immediately to the Salandran Temple.
There with haste he speaks with Mother Victoria and the others giving them a heads up about a possible influx of patients that may arrive rather soon. He gives the orphanage warning to keep the young-lings in doors. When his time there is complete he ventures to Cordor to acquire various supplies medical and lock picks alike.

As the meeting time draws closer, Ally can be seen preparing herself and walking the grounds near the Mylock Hills, only barely entering them so as not to alarm anyone who might be watching. She paces off distances and looks for vantage points, then finally disappears from sight.

Finally, after many days, the children seem strong enough to answer the horde of questions awaiting them. The nurses, in pursuit of the best care for their patients, personally take charge and ask the children an assortment of questions to piece together the tale. Their responses and story is compiled by the head nurse and passed out to any visiting adventurer or official that requests it. No further questions are allowed until their full recovery.
Each of the children and the one teenager all speak of being snatched suddenly by a powerful, hard bodied beast. One they later learn and assume was one of many Winged Mylock. All of their tales speak of being transported almost constantly from location to location, feed spoiled cheese, and spending days blindfolded and/or chained. None of the children are able to say where they were transported from but simply that they were in caverns most of the time, completely shut out from the light.
Their tale becomes shrouded and difficult to piece together from here but all of the children remember being forced to hold the massive clawed hand of, what they assume, was one of the Mylocks while touching the surface of a pointed object, with sharp corners and smooth flat sides. The Mylock muttered words in each case and each of the children was drained of what they describe as their ‘energy’. They each felt like they had run around the entire isle of Amia twice.
The head nurse makes a note at the bottom of the paper describing how each of the taken’s records show they all have some form of magical ability.

With the second wave of Children, the Gnomish Magician quietly leaves a bag of fifteen varied plush dolls with a request to let him know how many more children remained so he could make them plushies or arrange for such.
Once he was done, he left and met briefly with Matthew, Wilfre, and Hector to speak briefly.

Even though Talas was utterly confused by the events following his analysis of the unstable portal he immediately went to the Salandran Ward as they returned to their Plane to warn the staff of the newly rescued children coming and their need for care. If allowed he would have helped in way a layman could, either by getting water from the well or getting or carrying supplies, anything that the Temple staff would let the familiar bard do. He then sat by the entrance to the wards for a quick conversation with a young half-elf woman, but after speaking to someone apparently invisible he left, looking quite mad.
He was back at the Grounds later though, in the company of Pappy and spent some more time talking to Kurchin, whom they met there, and the druid before opening a leyline back to Ruathym.
"Damn it Dicey, what in the name of the Three happened to you..."

A screaming hin child is transported to the Salandran Temple grounds, soothed to a sullen state of weeping until she is taken inside for examination. She mutters endlessly about missing her 'Pa', and 'Uncle Dicey'. She seems incorrigible to any attempting consoling until an older hin woman persists in staying by her side, holding her by the hand. She remains in the ward over night, and for several more, along with the other children who were located to the very same temple.

After some brief conversation in the Temple District later, Tuomas went to the Keep to rest and sort out a few affairs and ensure his Scribe knew what would need to be done, given his focus was primarily tasked to another matter.
The next day, the Gnomish Magician would find himself in the ritual room of the Keep, with his new staff granted unto him by his old friend Lord Ulrik, 'Nilfennia the Whispering Sage' .. he set himself down in the centre of the chamber in a cross legged position, holding Nilfennia vertically as he lay a gem in front of him.
~ .. Alright, Miss Nilfennia, let us see what we can learn about this Legendary Prism.~ he would think, seeming to activate a particular function of this boon-staff and concentrating intently upon the Prism which lay before him.
---
Anne Meridian, his scribe would dutifully ensure he was not disturbed and that matters requiring his attention were either sent on to the appropriate personnel, or answered if she was familiar. Nama, Tuomas' familiar would likely assist but remain close to the Gnome who was deep in his concentration.

" I apologize that Lord Valo is not availible but he is focused on the task he has presented himself at hand. Thank you for the concern and when he can spare some time to eat, I'll run this up to him," Anne Meridiian, Tuomas' scribe said to a member of the Keep's kitchen personnel taking a meal on Tuomas' behalf at the stairwell below the ritual chamber.
"Righto, Missus Anne, you take care of y'self dearie." the Kitchen woman replied as she went off, having given a tray of simple foods, soup and bread for Tuomas to take up to him. Anne had made a note on the wall's nearby marked candle to keep track of the time, and decided to head up and await. When she got upstairs, the intently focused Gnome nodded to her and smiled as he held Nilfennia in one hand, the other seeming to hover over the Prism, palm facing down as he muttered. She'd smile to him politely and let him continue on his work, collecting a finished tray which she then took to the Kitchen, her concern for Lord Valo plain in her features.
