Amid growing storm clouds and restless seas, a warship departs the docks of Fortress Wiltun in the dark of night, with more than one sailor uttering prayers to the Bitch Queen. Within the keep, a soft-capped middle-aged man clad in green silks rubs ink-stains off his fingers, watching from the battlements as the vessel breaks water and makes headway, the green banner of Wiltun fluttering prominently in the wind.

Ink meets paper, and proclamations and invitations are issued forth from Wiltun keep. Throughout both Fortress Wiltun, as well as the beleaguered island of Caraigh, it would become known that Lord Wiltun has graciously invited 'esteemed leaders of Caraigh' to his keep, to attend court, in order to discuss the future of the island. In response, the guard presence in Wiltun increases in anticipation of the event. All available jarl-wardens are ordered to be present in the keep during the meeting, in order to ''maintain order'' and "curb any disruptive adventurer influence."

Upon the isle of Caraigh, village elders of Ceyren's Mill discuss their invitation, and after some time respond, "We still think Wiltun is the key to stability and prosperity for us all." Though rumor would have it that most elders have declined to brave travel to the rocky isle of Wiltun. In fact, they seem to turn to Lord Cory of House Shadowflame to ensure their concerns are represented fairly.

And so yet another day in the Ruathym region passes. Villagers of the mill toil under hardships of the present, haunted by horrors of the past. The Iron Guard of Lord Wiltun step up their patrols of the roads of Caraigh, under command of their greying kapten. Craftsmen ply their trades, in both Caraigh and Wiltun. All unified by one thing: hope for a better, brighter, and more prosperous future.

Thysearyl would watch the warship depart from the walls... she would seem quite pleased to see the court growing in activity and the wardens growing in numbers.

"I will have to see what changes are still yet to come"

Lord Cory Shadowflame would go around the mill and speak to the people to ask if they have any concerns they would like him to personally address in Lord Wiltuns Court.

he also goes to make sure to speak to Seamus who offen spoke on behalf of all of the mill and corporal Jard if they had any they wish said or anything that would be viewed as non negotiable in reguards to the mill.

Wiltun's First Knight can be seen, ever on the move, whether around Wiltun or Caraigh planning, discussing and filing reports and letters. The Knight is clearly worn and tired but a small smirk is never far from his lips.

Frequently the First Knight is shadowed by another man in armor styled after that of Wiltun, though his cloak bears a symbol of the Wind Rider. He seems to be acting as an assistant of some sort, or perhaps a squire.

A day before Lord Wiltun is to hold court, and the fortress is a bustle of activity. Rumor has it that an elder from nearby Ceyren's Mill arrived, and in response, the Noway Inn was closed to the public by order of the jarl's wardens.

Guard presence is undoubtedly higher, the visiting adventuring-type would certainly notice. And they may not feel entirely welcome, as the green armor clad and halberd wielding guardsmen would glare at any obvious adventurers. Especially if they appeared to be a magic user of some sort.

Though no guardsmen seems to complain about having to pull double-shifts. At least, not within earshot of their superiors.

Just another day in Fortress Wiltun...

Wiltun's First Knight is seen about the Fortress into the wee hours of the night. Whether speaking with the guards, taking an active role in watching over the Inn or making line after line of notes in his notebook, he seems to always be moving with a purpose and a smile on his face.

Lord Cory Shadowflame can be seen in the Wiltun Inn sitting at a table next to the stairs.

A raven haired half elf in a dress the colors of Wiltun, but a dash of blue and silver as well, can be seen wandering the walls and courtyard. Sometimes with a young raven haired boy who looks around a year old, also dressed in Wiltun colors with a cute blue and silver sailor hat , when he keeps it on, and sometimes alone.

When alone she might be harder to spot as she either quietly keeps an eye on things or trails along behind the First Knight, not exactly hiding in the shadows as much as just sticking to them and staying out of the way.

As Lathander's light peaks out over the horizon, shedding Morning's first rays upon the accursed lands of Caraigh, a ship would be spotted far off on the horizon from the docks of Ceyren's Mill. Fluttering prominently, the banner of Lord Arsant Wiltun. A small bustle goes through the village as word spreads, and the folks of the mill being assembling by the docks, leaving their morning chores behind, rumor and gossip rampant among them. By mid-morning, the imposing warship is docked in the shallow waters just outside of the mill's port. A small row-boat makes its way to the docks, a small detachment of Wiltun guardsmen having taken up the oars, with a plainly dressed older man sitting among them.

The plainly dressed man, the village elder Seamus, is helped out of the rowboat and up the docks by one of the guardsmen. Respectful courtesy, and nothing more. There he is greeted by his people, and he greets them. He then begins a small address.

"It is done. Lord Wiltun is now sovereign ruler of the island of Caraigh. He has pledged order and protection, in return for fealty.''

The guardsmen who flank the elder seem to affirm this.

A barrage of questions follow.

"What of the elders?"

"... Lord Shadowflame?"

"What now?"

Seamus answers them all. "Lord Wiltun has left us to manage our village. The elders are still the ones who run the mill. Lord Cory has sworn an oath of fealty to Wiltun, and is now thane of Caraigh. Now, now we build. They have promised funds to build our economy. We have promised them wood and stone. And we have a lot to do. For there will be taxes..."

The people seem unsurprised. They have seen more than one noble ruler in their time. There are always taxes. Slowly, the crowd disperses, and folks of the mill go back to their daily lives, though the chattering does not cease. The mill militia can be seen training beside the Wiltun guard, who now take up posts near the port.

Meanwhile, the Iron Guard begin their patrol of the roads, heading towards Shadowflame manor. The warship docked in the mill's port remains there.

Word spreads throughout Caraigh. These lands are now Wiltun's lands.

Meanwhile, in Fortress Wiltun, a jarl paces the ramparts of his keep, eyes set over the horizon. East.

At the same time that Wiltun's warship bears her guest home to the Mill, the first rays of light awaken Wiltun's Knight. With a soft kiss to the forehead of the half-elf beside him, he pushes out of bed. Slipping on work clothes and boots alike, he takes the shovel left next to his door and makes his way towards the harbor. Draping both sinewy arms over the shovel laid across his shoulders, Avadon spots the pacing Lord of Wiltun and cannot help but smirk."You're just as anxious as I am for it, aren't you Arsant?"

Whether noticed or not, by the Jarl, His Knight makes his way towards the ferry via the main gate, shovel in hand, ready to get back to work for the interests of the Jalrdom.

*During Court, Qeelak could be spotted high up in the parapets, keeping a sharp eye over both Square and Khem Portal from the top of the tower over the staircase. He would stay there long into the night before leaping and gliding towards the barracks and retiring.*
