What's funny, is that earlier today, someone tried to argue and enforce their vision on a Dragon Disciple who happened to have neutral tendencies. This took both an IC and OOC standpoint.

Too bad they didn't know that the aforementioned Dragon Disciple took only 10 levels and thus their argument does not apply!

Gotta love it when the good characters are dicks, since it's like they can do nothing wrong. If they had a different alignment, they'd have entire good factions coming after them to destroy them!

Was this necessary?

No. Let's not drag up old stickies to bring in-game drama onto the forums, please.

This is exactly the kind of forum attitude we don't need. Let's be civil, folks. If you have a problem with a player getting OOC with you about things, ask them to stop and report it to a DM if they don't and it's bothering you.

I was civil, and efficient. No one has tried to bring in-game so-called "drama" into this post at any time, ever. Rather than getting DM's involved and wasting time that could be spent on development or events, I have greatly increased the chances that the player who was sassing the friend of mine will happen upon this post, realize the error of their ways, and cease in attempting to sass people over the way they play their characters.

DMs are there to handle player disputes. That's literally part of the job that's already factored into their time. Sass doesn't counter sass, and yes, addressing whatever issue happened in such a way does only increase said "drama."

If you really, really want to be helpful to the players that were apparently mistaken, a simple "bump, for awareness sake" would suffice. Everything else there is pretty unnecessary.

No one goes "oh, that person was snide and sarcastic in their correcting of me, I better take what they say to heart." Let's not be a dick in attempting to help fellow players out of their dickness. Cool?

There is also a forum policy/rule to not air dirty laundry on the forum about specific IG events.

This thread was merely an information about adjusted alignments, not for you all to rant and troll.

And this is why you can't have nice things.
