He was the easiest boss, I'd go and kill him pretty much all the time on all my characters.
Today for some reason the fight took >30 minutes. He now has at least 15 physical DR plus % immunities and more regen or something. If I didn't have divine damage on my weapons I don't think it would have actually been possible for me to kill him. I know my weapons hit for more then 15 damage, so why in the world am I suddenly unable to damage him?
I don't know what changed but I really feel like something changed. I've killed this guy on pitt at least 50 times and it never takes more then a few rounds. What the fuck happened?
edit;
16 str, weapon spec, +5 weapon. Never actually damaged him physically short of a crit, and then it was just divine damage. Even with 15 dr that should not be.

As far as I'm aware, the Fire Giant King has not been modified in any way.

Ok, I have no idea then. But Usually that guy fails a save vs blind in the first few rounds, but suddenly now, because im no longer able to do physical damage to him, he never has to make the save, and I can't kill him.
Seriously, I was fighting him for so long his true sight buff wore off long after the queen despawned.
This never ever ever happens like this. Something had to have changed, I kill him all the time.

I've known some DMs to buff up bosses to make them more challenging for players (Not insanely OP, but just enough to require more than click-and-slash.

Yeah http://i.imgur.com/0OiuGBu.pngThis snippet of the log was from after his TS buff ended and I dropped a darkness and he was able to get sneak-attacked. What happened exactly? Can his DR go back to what it was? Seriously, I kill the king all the time. It's my farming spot. I do it on pitt all the time. Oh and his 'regen' seemed off because at the beginning of the fight and after he healed he would keep going back 'up in health, I saw 'uninjured' many times before I started making leeway.

He's always been that resistant iirc.
I avoid him on my dexers unless they have good damage because it takes so long to power through

There's no percentage immunities being used in the screenshots, just his DR. I haven't fought him awhile or really paid attention, but I do know he's alwyas had some degree of DR.
It's possible he just never failed a blind save so you never got your sneak attack damage.

Long enough for his queen to de-spawn and true sight to fade naturally. Well no matter how often you farmed him, eventually he will roll a 20 on your blinding, and clearly, he did this time.
