As you may or may not have seen, I made a small change to the djinn sales.

The reason why it only happened every few weeks were actually the auctions. If I do those every week, we will reach an end of what unique items I can come up with, sooner more than later.

However, I realize that this is unfortunate, for those who just want to buy the regular wares, or order/pick custom items.

So instead I will do the regular sales weekly (if real life permits) and the auctions only once a month.

I hope you are somewhat happy with this solution too.

This is an excellent solution. :)

Totally agree.... the regularity of "normal" Djinn sales and DC item reques/pickup is great. The auctions should be at most once a month, yeah... no need to flood Amia with crazy stuff! (Got enough crazy people already :o )

Also, regularity of Djinn sales will make it quicker each time, so a bit easier on the DM in charge too. :)

Good solution all around I say.

I would be happy to help you make items with descriptions that either rhyme, are clever, or are in iambic pentameter.

Quote:
The Giant King sat in his throne on high
Fearing what transpires after he dies.
Dragons, tales said, could let him cheat death,
"And I will hunt them, until my last breath."

He left his throne, and his castle behind,
Knowing of a white dragon to find.
The tales don't tell he survived the hail...
Too bad for the King; his maul is for sale.

Faux Dragonslayer's Giant Foehammer

Base Item; Heavy Flail
weight (lb); 64
damage; 1d10
critical; 19-20/x2
damage type; Bludgeoning
size; Large
Material; Adamantine

+5 Attack Bonus
Bonus Damage; +2d4 Cold
+2d6 Massive Crits

Quote:
This puzzle box looks like a cube,
the way in which it snares a rube.
He solves the cube, but what spews forth?
A flood of acid, to dissolve his corpse.

Riemat's Accursed Riddle

Misc item, 1/day; Acid Fog

i can machine gun these out.

With the spell widget and placables that also have spell castings(I.E. a Crystal ball widget that also casts Clairvoyance, etc) there really is no limit to what cool knickknacks you can make. And people would still bid on them because it saves them the trouble of DCs and a request.

It's Ama's NPC and event, it's up to her in the end. A single auction a month is probably easier to manage. But if the worry is running out of item ideas, along with Commie, I could easily offer some. I still have many item ideas for all levels left over from when I helped design the new starter items, and that was before we had a couple of new doodads to work with.
