Hey everyone! There's been a lot of attention and questions about Uhm, especially concerning its rebuilding. We were trying to respond in an IC voice with it, but that's turning out to not be feasible, so after some discussion we decided that an open address would be best: Uhm will not be rebuilt.
It was removed from the server during the war plot to help facilitate a culling of extraneous settlements, and is part of moves toward improving the primary RP hubs on Amia A.
Players are free to set up their personal PLCs and the like to set up encampments and pursue whatever other RP they would like there, of course, but there will not be module changes that result in the rebuilding of the town.
It is within the realm of possibility that the space where Uhm was could be used for Faction purposes, however it will still need to go through the usual channels for requesting a Faction, showing dedicated activity, and so forth. Feel free to ask your questions in this thread if anything is unclear!

What about the quests that need NPCs there, such as the fixing the ship and the dead fisherman?

That quest is defunct and its parts are on the list for removal. If you already have the quest partially completed, let me know and I'll see about getting you sorted out so that it at least won't remain as an active quest in your journal!

so pretty much 90% of amia will be going away then since most places are empty? Yay... going back to the original Amia with like 20 area's....

More that Uhm didn't offer anything that wasn't provided better by Wharftown, and same with the Delta, so the duplicates were cut.

Now you'll just have to do it to Wharftown, instead!

That said, please try to keep it to serious questions on this topic, or mentioning if you need the half-complete quest sorted out!

I have a couple outstanding quests relating to Uhm. One of them being the message from the dying man to deliver to the mayor. I was also told that the one acquired in Guldorand with the plans to build a golem is also an Uhm quest? If not, cool. But yeah.

The one relating to the golem plans is not, for the purposes of this. You can still complete that one just fine!

Oh! Excellent, then. I was told otherwise. Thanks for the clarification.

I can confirm that the gnome quest near the ruins of Uhm is working just fine.

Asked DMs in game today and they said they didn't know how to do this. Is there a better way to get this done?

To my knowledge there isn't really a way to remove it from the log on an individual basis. As we go through and rework the quest journal in general, it will get removed at that time. That will be a ways down the road and will be taken care of along other more pertinent changes.

I was thinking we could just spawn them the necessary items and NPCs to finish the Quest, but if you think it's better to just wait and get it removed from journals that way, then that's good too!

Oh, didn't know it was that complicated, I figured it was just a couple clicks. Never mind then, it's not a big enough deal to worry about!
