As hilarious as it is to see it happen on a 1 I don't think outsider castes should be able to banish themselves for being in the AoE lol

Very few AoE's provide caster immunity. Why should banish be different?

Most save or die AoE's are caster immunity spells and Banish is a save or die AoE with a colossal radius just like wail as well.

It seems silly that you can save or die yourself, even if it's hilarious.

It's also different from Wail in that its not a death effect, not necromancy, and is a will save not a fort save.

The result may appear the same but the spells are so different it's not fair to compare them, imo.
