Last night (5/12) the scribe desks stopped working for me. It is still happening today (5/13) after server reset. It says *Writes* in the chat box, but no rolls will happen and the text won't be put in the item's description. I don't know if there is a way to fix this myself, or if it is just happening to me. For example, when the lamp system breaks, you can use the portal wand and exit from the dialogue before picking a destination to fix the lamp. Is there anything like that for the writing desk?

can you specify where this scribing desk (or desks) are that you encountered this bug?

I've encountered this on both A and B.

On A:
Cordor Library writing desk
Kampo's writing desk

On B:
Endir's Point - Chapel of Shaundakul writing desk

I would certainly be willing to test more for you guys, but I'm not sure where any other writing desks are.

Tested this just now at the Kampo's writing desk. No problems.
Used the following commands:
/s ds_j name Cold Iron Amulet
/s ds_j bio Test
Both worked.

I'll give it a try again. If it doesn't work again on Meri, I'll try on Art.

It's working on Artholomew, but not Meriptah. No idea what's going on, but I know I've heard of others experiencing this problem before. Anyone have any ideas or known fixes?

Edit: Mystery solved. I didn't add "append" to the damn command. *Facepalm*

I use a template with the whole command in a note pad and add the text and copy past... I start doing that after long a go I also forgot to add stuff or kept failing.

Any way good to know the Mystery has been solved. :lol:
