Post subject: | Server A login problem |
Crashed last night around midnight EST. Haven't been able to login to A since. It times out on me. I can do everything else on my computer where the internet is involved. Browser, Server B, a different server entirely.... so on and so far. I just can't login to A. Any suggestions? |

It is almost assuredly an issue on your end if you can get to B but not A or vice versa. Unplug your router and modem, leave them unplugged for at least a minute. Restart your computer at the same time. |

This actually happens to me once in a while. What usually works is restarting the computer. No clue what causes it. |

Idea #1: Isolate Router as the issue > - Make sure UPnP is on if it's not - Are you forwarding ports? if so -> make sure they're not conflicting with 5120-5122 - Try enabling DMZ if your router has it temporarily, and try it. Make sure it's off when you are done testing. - Finally, bypass router and plug computer directly into modem. Note results. Idea #2: Isolate Windows Firewall as the issue > - Disable Windows Firewall -> Notice and Report results > Turn back on after. - Ensure any 3rd party anti-virus/firewalls are not capable of interfering. Idea #3: Isolate ISP as the issue > - Try connecting through a different ISP. Tether your phone perhaps? - Does behavior happen this way too? Idea #4: Isolate the Machine as the issue > - Does this behavior happen with a different computer on the same network? |
