The Competition of Arcane Wonder and Spellcraft!
On the 17th, in honour of the Lady of Mysteries and the Lord of Spells,

The Competition of Arcane Wonder and Spellcraft will take place in the form of a competition of summoners, a culmination of the mastery of Conjuration and Strategy. The competitors call forth allies that will compete against each other in the quest for victory. All that are able to conjure companions are able to enter in the competition, be it through spell, scroll or magical object. All neutral and good aligned creatures can be called forth. Creatures of an evil nature are strictly forbidden.

Three different categories are open for entry.

Conjurer
The three conjured creatures are from the first three circles of magic.
Each summoned creature can be strengthened with one spell of the first three circles.

Summoner
The three conjured creatures cannot exceed the sixth circle of magic.
Each summoned creature can be strengthened with two spells of the first six circles.

Thaumaturgist
The three conjured creatures can be of any level of spell, including epic conjuration.
Each summoned creature can be strengthened with any three spells.

Clarifying rules
Each of the three creatures summoned must be different from the other two.

Creatures are to be conjured simultaneously.

Each creature can only fight in its designated round. In practice, this means the competitor that wins one round is forced to change creature.

The victors will challenge each other until one victor per category remains.

Competitors can enter a category even if they have the ability to enter a more advanced one. However should the creature summon be different from that normally conjured, they are not allowed to enter that creature in the competition.

Animal companions and familiar are eligible to be entered as a creature. Similar to the former rule, they are prohibited once they exceed the level of the envisioned competitor for the category.
(//Limit of lvl6 for the conjurers and lvl12 for summoner of the relevant class)

If the spell of the creature that is summoned expires, the creature is considered defeated.

If a conjured creature damages the bystanders, the competitor will be disqualified.

Woe to any signs that find themselves in Wharftown. They are swindled away by an ill-tempered Everguard and thrown into the nearest fire.

To whomever removed the posters for the giant celebration in a place no one can actually go:

Being a brat is a 500 gold fine. Find Alanna for a summary scolding.

New and improved posters are put up hours after the temper tantrum, accompanied by a detailed festival illustration that looks nothing at all like Kohlingen. No explanation or apology is offered, but it seems like there was a change of heart.
