So I've been mulling over doing a hin druid of Sheela Peryroyl. They only really venture out to learn. And the thing is, these druids are, lore wise, not really active in groves because of how much they put into their hin communities. Their duty stations are to the earthly built-in hin settlements.

Now, from the wiki I understand the druid still goes through trials, but if a hin druid of Sheela, which is more or less a hin's version of a city druid, doesn't really work in the groves? Is it considered bad form if the hin community, who all revere and love all of their hin pantheon gods, decide said hin initiate is worthy of the title of "Druid"?

Who better to judge what a Green Child should be, better than hin?

From my experience on the server with Bendir Dale, and that has been quite a bit, there have been several druids citizens, not all were members of Oakmist Vale druid's Grove, but all were accepted by the community, as they helped the crops and land.

Yeah, I can't see the residents of Bendir Dale having any issues with a Druid of Sheela around. In fact, Flynn can think of a few things to involve her in already. Bendir is generally accepting of hin, all hin.... unless there is some question of danger or threats to their society.

I'm no expert, but I'll offer my opinion. It might be that druids of Sheela keep more structure for trials elsewhere, but the Dale is a relatively small community, and such would lend to a more active community role and perhaps finding out their own trials along the way themselves. Such a druid wouldn't be alone though. There's usually one other hin druid around, and even if they're not part of the Grove, that community is still open and accepting for lessons or other learning.

One way to go about it is to just do it. What I've often done, if I'm not comfortable with the lore or it's a role I'd be learning to play, is I enter into it as a beginner character, or at somewhere on the learning path, so ICly and OOCly my character and I can learn along and make connections and figure out what role they play on the way.

Do what you're comfortable with. The Dale's got a strong and highly active community at the moment, and on top of that, other druids (like my own human one) visit the Dale relatively regularly. You'll not run short of opportunities to connect and figure out where your character would fit it.

Most of all, have fun with what you're doing!
