  • UberLow Lootbin overhaul has been completed! New items, new descriptions, new appearances... everything's new again!
    • Thanks to our Design and Tester teams, as well as several player submissions, all new loot items have a unique description, many telling of historical moments on Amia both recent and distant.

  • Updated the Malnourished Carrion Crawlers with the new appearance added in the hak update.
  • Fixed pathing issues in Den of Webs.
  • Added Timberland areas for closed testing.
  • The Logjammer Inn has re-opened in Guldorand! (design by Pony)
  • Removed the last transition to the old sewers of Cordor.

Server B
  • Plot update to Abyss: Forgotten Temple. (you've been warned)
  • Updated ds_seatravel for Ash Caverns entry.
  • New Dungeon Now Open! Ash Caverns (design by Letumlux)
    • Captain Evananee of Fortress Wiltun now offers passage to the Ash Caverns, designed for level 25 characters.

Misc Changes:
  • Fixes to ds_ai2_endround and ds_ai2_ondamaged.

  • Small changes to Gibbering Maw custom lootbin as per current lootbin overhaul work.
  • Bug fix to Tarkuul Undercroft.
  • Added healing kits to Temple of Velsh per trade agreement.
  • Small fixes to the Uberlow loot bin.
  • Updates to Lowlands Delta per player work and fixed the buggy dirt patch.
  • Moved Nof to Bendir's square as requested by Hudson.
  • Removed convo from all Shadow Mages in Tarkuul (shouldn't have had one to begin with).
  • Minor description fixes in Entry Area and Travel Agency.
  • Added a few specialty Caster-Bard oriented instruments to the new Instrument shop in Cordor Market Hall.
  • Changed the quest update in Gibberling Nest to be a trigger instead of having to click on the book (since it was confusing some people).
  • Reduced the level requirement for the quest reward from the Gibbering Maw slightly so it can be used right after the dungeon.
  • Updated the Farmer's Favor quest with the new quest rewards as originally intended.

Server B
  • Ash Cavern Fixes:
    • Fixed one of the Climb Up objects in Aechresoa Pit.
    • Fixed floating boat in Ancient Outflow.
    • Added leyline node to the Aechresoa Pit area.
    • Added more spawn triggers to the empty spaces in Aechresoa Loft.
    • Added a chest for a little extra loot in Hunter's Hearth, given the length of the dungeon.
    • The Trophy Tender boss will now pull from the new "pre-epic" loot bin that is between the +4 bin and the epic bin.

Misc Changes:
  • Decreased delay in fall damage from climb checks from 3sec to 1sec.
  • Fixes to environmental hazard scripts.
  • Fix to rope tie-off script.
  • Update to ds_db_spawner to fix boss failure issues.
  • Changes to ds_qst_classrwrd to allow for Save based rewards as well as the existing Ability based rewards.

Introducing the Travel Agency to full functionality, your first login to the server in a reset period will direct you to the Welcome Area as normal.

From there, if you are a brand new character, clicking the entry portal will offer you the standard initiation routine and teleport to the default starting location for your race.

The big change is that if you are a returning character, you will instead be teleported to the Travel Agency, where you will be able to pick the location to teleport IG to from any of the primary settlements of either server, or your faction home (if you belong to a faction).

Subsequent logins during the same reset will still redirect you to your last saved location, as per normal.

  • Cordor: East, Interior – New Library system installed with over 100 books to read IG, many from the library forum.
  • Cordor: East, The Nomad’s Return – Fixed drunk who can’t seem to sit still, moved node for less congestion, added auto close to the interior doors.
  • Cordor: South – Building added for Hospice, interior still under construction.
  • Cordor: West – Fixed busy beggar instructor, docks completed.
  • Wharftown – redesigned to update with new PLCs and tilesets that have come out over the years. Also some plot line updates

  • Fixes to a few random areas to help reduce crashing.
  • Flipped South Cordor to be the right way around again.
  • The Labyrinth Goes Live!
    The first level of the long awaited new epic challenge dungeon is now live! Enter the site of the Massacre, and try to avoid your own repeat of history.
    • A challenge for 4-6 characters of maximum level, this dungeon is about strategy based on party makeup, strengths and weaknesses. A well rounded group is more important than powerhouse builds.
    • New levels of the Labyrinth will gradually be opened based on character/player effort, as the story progresses.
    • Custom loot bins and rare %chance loot drops are in place, and will be added to as each new level is opened and new challenges are faced.
    • New Skill Check objects (not just Lore but other skills too) hint at the dungeon's past based on your characters' skills.

Misc Changes:
  • Fixed quest journal entry for Timberlands quest.
  • Added Anubis as a valid deity.
  • Updated inc_td_rest to prevent Ambush in Safe Rest rooms.
  • Finally a fix for the Portal Lamp intermittent bug (thanks msheeler!)
  • Fix to new library search scripts.
  • Phane quest finalized.

Dynamic Update

The last hak update included three new trees, re-textured versions of the Mirkwood trees, specifically to provide the linchpin for the atmosphere in Tarkuul's Court of the Dead. PassionateShadow did a truly amazing job of the textures based on an image from The Void and even if you don't usually frequent Tarkuul, it's well worth stopping by at some point to see the haunting beauty that now resides there.

For those who don't have a character suitable for visiting there, here are a couple screenshots below, but you should try to see them live IG if you are able.
