Thanatologist  A

Historical background

A thanatologist studies death and the dead. Although people in all societies have speculated about death, the systematic study of its experience is an obscure undertaking. A taboo exists against studying something as frightening and personal as death. Many people still believe that studying the dying is cold and heartless, if not outright evil, but good-aligned thanatologists consider their work potentially helpful to everyone, because all beings eventually must die. Less scrupulous researchers use the results of their studies to expand their necromantic powers.

How does it work?

An Thanatologist can produce knowledge in the following ways:

* By studying certain artifacts at the Researcher's Desk
* By observing certain creatures in the field (select them with your Job Log)
